I have succeeded in making part of my preset transparent, but it didn't have the result I was expecting, which makes me think that I am missing something important.

To be more clear: I'm making a preset for a character who is missing one of their front leg and all of my google searches led me to transparent preset tutorials. However, it leaves the stub hollow, which is not very aesthetically pleasing.

I have seen presets were the legs were transparent, but the stubs' endings were solid rather than an entry point to the cold, empty shell of the FH models. I haven't found a single preset tutorial or code masterpost containing anything like this.

Can somebody put me on the right path?

Edit: I'm beginning to think that this was a fever dream and that no such code exists, in which case I'll stick to the hollow stub

Oh my god yall, I can't believe this. Turns out I was doing everything right, but I didn't save when exiting the notepad because it seemed like it was saving automatically. Though the coding seemed to stay, I guess it never took effect?

Hey yall, I'm trying to make a doublesided preset right now but it won't work!! I tried to do it before and succeeded, thanks to tutourials on the forums, but this knowledge has been lost when I installed the update.

Long story short, I'm trying to do exactly what I did last time, but it won't work!
I looked on the forums, and all of the images for the tutorials are gone, which makes the tutorials useless?? There's only two video tutorials and one doesn't work and the other doesn't even explain it.

I would like it if someone experienced could tell me what to do? This is a project that I've been meaning to do for a long time and I'd hate for my lack of experience to ruin it.


For more info:
I renamed my body parts preset_1bodyL/preset_1bodyR (that's what I had done last time I attempted making an asymmetrical preset) and change the coding in the material thing (renaming it to texture preset_1bodyL and so on) and the body turns out white no matter what I do.

I too spent a lot of time figuring out how to get out of Bonfire (let alone knew that there was actually more maps). I made ugly feline OCs. yikes

I also left FH for a while because I thought I had a glitch that prevented me from moving normally-- turned out it was only the right ctrl. It took me a while but I eventually found my way to Fluorite Plains and joined a lot of warrior cats RPs before finally settling down with a single RP, thanks to which I found all the friends I have today.

Wowie, that was pretty much three years ago. That's a long time??? I'm amazed.

Aaah, thank you so much @the staff!! I was able to get on a bit before the server had a hiccup, which I'm grateful for because I need my beauty sleep lmao
