Other Mods/Creations / Item Request: Wearable Crystals
« on: May 05, 2012, 08:10:39 pm »
Yep, that's right! Even before I get a good amount of people in on the Mana Corruption, I'm going to request a wearable crystal item. It should look like it's growing from the flesh, but that's the only thing that I'm really going to hold anyone to. I will gladly supply any needed crystal models, should whoever picks this up need them for positioning and such.

Species / Mana Corrupted!
« on: May 05, 2012, 04:34:20 pm »
To start off, you make an ordinary character. Any character will do, so long as they are not supermagical gods or something like that. Even Pokemon and MLP(shudders) may apply here.

Once you've made your character, find a person with the tag Manabeast, ManaB, or ManaC in their name. They are the end products of a Mana Corruption and can cause the corruption to happen in your character. This must be roleplayed out over the course of at least a half hour.

Your character is uncomfortable. They start to grow crystals all over their body, and then become encased in them. After a short while, they burst out, a new manabeast or mana corrupted! They must have the appropriate tag added, as well as a few interesting new features.

As of yet, I don't have the custom maps or items I need to make this a more cohesive thing, but in later updates I will have maps filled with corrupted plants and mana crystals, crystal caves, and even wearable crystals for the corrupted to show off!

Here I will list the current manabeast and mana corrupted data:

MANA CORRUPTED:

Mana corrupted are just like they were before corruption, save for the manes or spines of bristling mana crystals, as well as some on the legs if possible. Their markings and eyes become the same color as their crystals (usually pale or dark colors, sometimes white, but never bright solid colors), as does their nose. In extreme cases, their eyes may become glowing orbs with no pupils. Mana corrupted can create other mana corrupted through a process of overloading the subject with magic. They have small amounts of magic, and may have elemental affinity, waterbreathing, fire breath, or any number of interesting magical additions. They have the tag "ManaC" in front of their name.

MANABEASTS:

These are somewhat more advanced. They have wings made of crystal and manes of the same, in bright and solid colors. As with the corrupted, they can cause a player who wants it to become mana corrupted, but they may also create other manabeasts. There are no extra special markings, but make sure that markings, eyes, wings, and nose share the same crystal coloration. Everything else stays the same as before corruption. Manabeasts have more powerful magic than mana corrupted, and may have elemental affinity, waterbreathing, fire breath, or any number of interesting magical additions. They have the tag "Manabeast" in front of thier name, or ManaB if it does not fit.

If I ever figure out the group system, a group for Manabeasts and a group for Mana Corrupted will follow. Group membership is optional.

Species / Selkats, the mysterious Sea Beasts
« on: October 19, 2011, 05:41:43 pm »
Selkats are an incredibly odd species. The possess neither gender and produce a single cub once every ten years, living up to 60 years and growing for half of that time.

Their bodies seem feline(if rather long), with heavy muzzles, however their legs are short and feet webbed, and they possess a tail more like that of an otter or water dragon. They lack any obvious fur, though it is there: the fur is simply so short that it does little to hide the slender, long body of the creature. Most have faint dappling markings on the top of their bodies, and a lighter undercoat than their topcoat. Colors range the entire spectrum of blues and greens, however they are usually muted and soft if not entirely gray. The end result is that a Selkat is nearly invisible when seen in water unless seen from the side.

Selkats possess insect like eyes made up of many facets, and thus seem to have solidly colored orbs in place of normal eyes. They are solitary creatures by nature, though they will get together to play and a cub rarely leaves its parent before it is time for a new cub to be born, with cubs on rare occasions staying with their parent for an additional 10 years till the next cub is ready to leave.

Selkats have retractable claws, long teeth, a palate like a crocodile that allows them to bite and eat in the water more easily, and the ability to stay in water nearly all their lives or walk on land. They can hold their breath for nearly a half hour to chase fish, their favored food. other than this, they possess no other interesting abilities.

To make a Selkat:

-Feline
-Dragon or any other backwards pointing sharp pointed ear
-Markings like Butterfly or Splash(back only) on body, Butterfly or other back of tail only markings on tail, Butterfly, Chimera 1, or practically any other face marking.
-No mane. Selkets are smooth.
-Subdued green-blue coloration(or grayscale), with the belly being lighter and the back darker, with markings similar in shade to the back, but slightly lighter or darker.
-Thick tail
-Glow Orb eyes, any shade
-Any shade around the eyes
-any size, but Length and Width should both be greater than Height.

Feel free to post here if you've decided to make one, I'll probably be making a map for them soon if I can get blender to work.

Introduction / Hello there
« on: October 16, 2011, 07:19:25 am »
I'm new. Well, not to this sort of thing. Just new to this in specific.

I'm in from Second Life, where I just can't find a good wolf to use, and I'm hoping this will work out for me. I'm a roleplayer, but i like to joke around as well. Don't expect me to join any packs or anything though.

I'm... really not sure what else to put here.
