Animal & Non Human Roleplays / Implausible and Killable - [Canine Test Subject Role-Play] {Open and Accepting}

If only darkness was all you could see. Your eyes groggily opened, shortly becoming aware of your surroundings. Confusion gnawed at your brain. Where am I? You thought, blinking a few times. You wiggled your tail a little, looking around at the glass cage you were put in. It was a bit cramped.
A human walked up to the cage, frowning heavily. Your hackles raised slightly, keeping your eyes on the male human. He scribbled something down, giving you a glare. He picked up your cage, taking you to another new place. It smelled damp and clogged with the smells of different fluids and the musk of humans. You almost gagged at the smell.
Their barks and chants were mixed together, not noticing the frantic horror and rage in your eyes. You pressed yourself against the glass wall of your cage, hackles still raised. One turned to you, he held a large shard of glass and metal. One gave a small squeak and was sent out of the room. What's going on?
A sharp pain went into your flank, and then everything became blurry. Sleep overtook you.

"A killer has been sighted in this area; a lot of people have moved from the area until further notice," The television told you, your eyes blinking, a bit bored. "Officials have noted us to tell you, if you live in the area, you should evacuate or remain indoors at all times."
Your eyes slid outside the closed window, which sat right behind the T.V. It was just morning. "The killer has been seen around night time, so be more alert past 5 o'clock." The television sounded urgent, though you thought it was just jargon. Nothing but bad news on the News channel, in your opinion. Your owner flicked off the television and stood up, you weren't panicked, but you were alert.
You watched your owner closed the blinds and curtains and locked the doors. "Jeez," You muttered to yourself, your owner flicking on a light. "People these days." You shook your head, feeling a bit disappointed.
The light flicked off by itself, but you shrugged it off with a furrow of your brows.
A sharp knock came from the door, making you jump out of your skin; you checked through the window to see a lone police officer. Your owner decided to open the door, just in case it was serious.
Then black.

Hello, my little FeralHeartians and Guest-y Floofs~!
Well, today I'm wanting to teach you guys how to role-play correctly, and what to do. (Not all of these techniques are correct for just you, if you can't find a way to work them, that's okay! Everybody's different.)
What I'm going to be covering:
Okay, I know these are strange to-dos, but they can be really helpful in the FeralHeart world!
I'm not trying to mini-mod, or anything, but if the Admins/Mods/etc. think I am, then they have the right to delete this and do anything they want with this.
I'm just wanting to help out~

Game Discussion / Saddening Role-Plays?

So, last night (11PM-2PM where I live to be exact) I had role-played with a close friend and ended up crying because of a death of one of her characters. Anyway, after she logged off, I just thought about the whole role-play and then the question 'Does anyone else role-play stuff like this?'

Human & Humanoid Roleplays / [ River Flows in You ] - A Horror/Tragedy-Based Role-Play [Officially Open]
« on: October 12, 2013, 03:56:17 am »Rainfall was heard throughout your window. A soft noise from outside, then a loud Clunk! sounded from the attic. Tears streamed down your six-year-old face into your small arms and legs as you hid from the 'Monsters', whom were roaming around the house. They were wanting to cause harm, your parents told you. Your whole body was shaking, you wanted to reach for your favorite music box, the one your grandmother gave you... The one that calmed you down, sadly you couldn't. You wouldn't dare be found with the music that emitted from the small box.
You gave a longing glace over at the box, which was standing right above your bed. Your emotions choking your throat, making it almost impossible to be silent while sobbing your eyes out. 'Help,' You mouthed the words to the ceiling. 'Don't let them find me...' Your six-year-old body fell over slightly, as soon as you heard a loud Crash! from the kitchen. Another crashing sound, then silence. You dared not go out to see if the 'Monsters' were still there.
You grabbed your favorite stuffed animal and the music box, and ran to the bathroom across the hallway. Locking the door behind you, you cried some more as you opened up the music box. Soft tears streaming down your face.
Rainfall was heard through the ventilation system in your bathroom.

Forum Discussion / Anime Role-Playing?

I've had this problem in the past, where I tried to join a Warriors Clan, and they wouldn't let me, since I had based my cat off of a 'Fruits Basket' (Which is an anime, for those who might've not known~) character, and they kicked me out after they had found out. I didn't understand why... It was really weird.
Have you had any thing similar to this, or been criticized on your character because of this?
I know, it sounds ridiculous, but it actually happens.

Game Discussion / What Did You Do?

Well, I was actually quite suspicious of what others did when they first joined. Now, I'm not wondering if you went straight to the game or wandered around the forums. No. I'm wondering what you did the first time in-game, besides creating a character, and whatnot.
Did you explore the maps? Did you download some more maps? Were you nervous to meet new people? What did you do and what happened?
Well, my story is that when I first joined, I was a bit shocked by the graphics, I was about ten or eleven. Gimme a break. Anyway, I wanted to just wander around, now this was before the addons of maps, wings, etc. and I just explored. I didn't know how to type, at all in that matter, or really do anything. I did know how to change the keys, and whatnot, since I have weird preferences on how my keyboard works. (Most of my doings were on an older computer and on an older account.)
After I was done exploring the maps, I found a group of 'horses', and decided to hang out with them, then I learned how to finally type, even after messing around with the keys for over an hour, and I had no grammar or any English skills. Again, I was in my early ten/eleven-year-old state.
I didn't have many friends, or anything, but now look at me. I'm basically bleeding fandoms, which equals friends and/or acquaintances. c:
