How to Download and Get *Insert Thing Here* In-Game and Working
« Reply #2 on: July 20, 2014, 03:57:31 am »
How To Download and Get Maps In-Game

1. Search around for a map and if one catches your eye, check it out.
2. I suggest looking at the screenshots, and if there isn't any, ask them to provide some. If you like it, continue.
3. Find the download link and click on it.
4. Click 'download' obviously.
5. Wait for the download to download. (XD) After it is done downloading, click on the .ZIP/RAR file.
6. Drag all of the .fh(o, w, s, m, etc) files to (C)>Feralheart>Exports
7. Some maps require a bit more. Drag any texture files into (C)>Feralheart>Media>Terrains>Textures. If there's music, put that in (C)>Feralheart>Media>Sounds

-

How to Download and Get Items In-Game

1. Find an item/item pack you like.
2. Find the download link and click it.
3. Click download and wait for it to be downloaded to your computer,
4. After that, click on the .zip/rar file. You should most likely see a file called items.cfg.
5. Move the items.cfg file to (C)>Feralheart.
6. CLICK. REPLACE.
7. Then, go back to the downloaded file and move everything else into (C)>Feralheart>Media>Items.
8. Voila~

Note: There's many items and many item packs out there. While you have a necklace on another person may be seeing huge bubbles on you. That's just because they have a different pack than you, don't worry! The most popular item pack is probably Pawsome Item Pack, so I recommend getting that.

-

How to Download and Get Emotes In-Game

1. Find a thread with emotes.
2. Most emotes don't come with a download. There will just be codes.
3. Go into (C)>Feralheart and find emotes.cfg.
4. Copy and paste all the emote codes into emotes.cfg and click 'save'.

-

How to Download and Get Objects In-Game

There will be two ways. If your files have a file with .object after it, go to method one. If not, go to method two.

METHOD ONE

1. Find an object/object pack you like.
2. Find the download link and click on it.
3. Once it's done downloading, click the .zip/rar file.
4. Find the file that ends in .object and move that to (C)>Feralheart>Media>Objects.
5. Then, move all the rest of the files into (C)>Feralheart>Media>Objects>My_Objects

METHOD TWO

1. Find an object/object pack you like.
2. Find the download link and click on it.
3. Once it's done downloading, click the .zip/rar file.
4. Move all the files into (C)>Feralheart>Media>Objects>My_Objects.
5. Go into the game.
6. Go into Object Maker.
7. Type in the names of the .mesh files. Remember, Object maker is CaSE SeNSiTiVe!
8. Save each object into a NEW group. (Do not put any files into My Trees, My Plants, etc.)
9. Voila~

How to Draw Trees
« Reply #3 on: July 20, 2014, 03:57:50 am »
How to Draw the Base of a Tree

Hellu~ I'll show you how I make the wood of a tree. I'll be GIMP, but you can probably figure it out in other programs like Photoshop. It probably won't work on Paint, but I'm not sure.

Step One:

Take one brown color and start to draw your tree. Make sure to draw the branches (which I'm terrible at) and the sorta roots at the bottom. It's not supposed to look pretty just yet.

Step Two:

Take the smudge tool and make all the ends pointed. And do better than me at this step xD

Step Three:

Change the brush size down by a lot. Then, change the opacity of the brush to around 60 or even lower. Choose where the light will be coming from, and start making tons of little lines all around the edges of the tree like in the picture. If you have roots coming out behind the tree, make the light color slightly darker and use it on the root too.

Step Four:

Now, make a darker color and do the same with the remaining space in the tree. Even throw a few strokes into the lighter areas too. Then, make a few more colors in between the dark and light colors and use that to kinda smoothen it out a bit. Now we're getting somewhere!

Step Five:

Now, you can leave that as is since it looks pretty good, or you can go to the smudge tool and mix em together! As you can see I made a few mistakes, but other than that it looks quite good. Be careful when doing this, though! Go nice and slow.

There, you have a tree I guess! :3

Devynex's Guide to Popular Feralheart Landmarks

You might hear your friend say "Let's go to N/Z tree!" or hear Adoption Center yell "Find us at the Ficho Tunnel Entrance/Portal!" But, what and where are those?

THE PRIDELANDS AND PRIDEROCK

Found in: Bonfire Island

Location: On the hill.

The Pridelands is where most The Lion King and just plain ol' lion roleplayers are. The side off of the cliff is usually used as the Outlands or the Elephant Graveyard. The cliff sticking out from the hill is often called Priderock.

Lag Level: Low to Medium

THE ENTRANCE TO FICHO TUNNEL/THE FICHO TUNNEL PORTAL

Found in: Bonfire Island

Location: Right by the portal to Ficho Tunnel and along the bottom of the hill.

The Ficho Tunnel Portal itself leads to, well, Ficho Tunnel. Adoption Centers usually set up around here.

Lag Level: Low to Medium

POKE LAKE

Found in: Ficho Tunnel

Location: Just past the waterfalls in a lake.

Poke Lake is known for having mostly Pokemon roleplayers along with other fandoms as well.

Lag Level: Low

THE WATERFALLS

Found in: Ficho Tunnel

Location: Right to the right (Haha, right to the right) of the Lonely Cave portal if you have just arrived in Ficho.

The waterfalls act like guards to the top of Ficho Tunnel, and the only way to get past them is to glitch by pressing 'prt screen' when approaching them. They mostly have wolf roleplayers nearby.

Lag Level: Low

THE N/Z AND THE N/Z TREE

Found in: Fluorite Plains

Location: Right where you spawn if you have entered through the Ficho Tunnel portal.

-

The N/Z tree is often where people just sit on rocks on one side, and also a few roleplayers near the cave, but on the other side there are usually groups roleplaying in the other cave.

Lag Level: Low

STONE BRIDGE

Found in: Fluorite Plains

Location: Right past the N/Z hill and across a river.

-

Stone Bridge is where most advertisements take place for groups, and usually where people hoping to find a group go to. There are many groups usually here at once.

Lag Level: High

L ISLAND

Found in: Fluorite Plains

Location: Out in the middle of the water.

-

L Island is a place where some groups go to roleplay or hang out, mostly consisting of lions and warrior cats. There are only a few lone trees here.

Lag Level: Low

Got any places that should be added? Any extra information that should be added or you have some screenshots that would be helpful? Or maybe you want to make a name up for a famous landmark in Feralheart that has no name? just comment! c:

« Reply #5 on: July 20, 2014, 03:58:21 am »
I've been getting a bit upset lately about how people don't know what sounds some animals make or what a group of them is called. So I am here to stop that! 8D

Wolf | Dog or He-Wolf | Bitch or She-wolf | Pup or Whelp| Pack | Howls, Barks, Woofs, Whines, Whimpers, Yelps, Growls, and Moans | Can range from 2 to about 36 wolves, average size is about 6 wolves.

-

Hyena | Hyena | Hyena | Cubs | Clan or Cackle | Whooping, hooting/laughing, yip, grunting, growling | About 90 Members

-

Lion | Lion | Lioness| Cub | Pride | Roaring, Humming, Puffing, Woofing (when a lion is startled) | 6-20 members

-

Fox | reynard, dog, dog fox, or tod | vixen | kit, cub, or pup| skulk or leash | Barks, a sorta 'screaming' howl | Cannot find answer

If there's any animals you want to see added, or some of my information is incorrect, please tell me!

How to Make Emotes (WIP)
« Reply #6 on: July 20, 2014, 03:58:47 am »
Ever wondered how to make emotes? Well, WONDERNOMORE (C)

First, go into your main Feralheart folder. Find the file named emotes.cfg and open it with Notepad.

Scroll allll the way down until you reach the bottom. Press Enter to give a line of room between your emote and the previous one.

Now, think of what you want your emote to be. For this tutorial, I will be making a "Hmpf" emote.

So, write [InsertNameHere] . Mine would be [Hmpf].

How, press Enter again but don't leave a line between the name and the codes.

-WORKY IN PROGRESS* woo cliffhanger XD
