It has to be one layer too, what do you mean flattened?

It wont let me save as a png! its ticking me off so much! And any guide to how to save png's in gimp is like rocket science! Please help!

i have gimp but when i try to save it it says i can only make with gimp xcf not png

Assume that your file is named example.xcf. When saving, simply replace .xcf with .png and it should save as a .png.

Guys, in the tut, it didn't tell you one thing that I already knew to do. Instead of just saving the file, right click it, and export it. That makes it png. and a real photo, instead of a gimp. image.
