Hello this is my first made tutorial so if im doing something wrong please tell me. I remember having trouble installing meshs onto Feralheart so if there are any others having trouble i'd hope this would help.
NOTE: This is very similar with WinRar too.
If you don't have 7-Zip u can download it here:
http://www.7-zip.org/download.htmlWinRar can be downloaded here:
http://www.rarlab.com/(WinRar is not free though but there is a trial, im sure if you search the internet you can find a free version *wink*)
7-Zip
So to download the mesh you would click the download link, but in your downloads folder its a 7-Zip file theres no materials or other things. Well, you would right click the the 7-Zip file and click "7-Zip" then "Extract Files" as shown in the pic below. Im using some clovers Thierry made as an example. A box should pop up so just click the "Ok" button and a folder will appear.
Inside the folder is the mesh and its contents. The file with the .mesh is the one you want to remember, because thats the file you need to bring it onto the game. What you need to do with all these files is move them to your
(C:) drive >> Feralheart >> Media >> Objects >> My_Objects. Just drag everything into that folder.
NOTE: I do not have 7-Zip any more.
WinRar
If you have WinRar installed all .rar files will look something like this...
You could say like a pile of books (I assume that's what it is).
To open WinRar files all you have to do is double click on them. A message might pop up but you can just select "Yes". When you double click it a new window will open up showing everything inside the .rar file. See below...
Installing into Feralheart
Open up FH and go into Tools >> Object Maker.
This is where you type the mesh file in. The meshes I downloaded was "trebol20.mesh" and "trebol1.mesh" so I'd type in one of them in the "Mesh" box, then click the "Add New" button and it will appear. This is where the mesh's material is you can also change it too another material if your not happy with it.What ever you download you will walk right through it. Clicking this will prevent that so you can stand on it and and not walk through itNow you would want to save your mesh so you can use it in your maps.
This is where you would put the mesh name, I called it clovers. Here is where you choose the group to put your mesh in, I made a a downloads folder to put my mesh's in. Here is your object folders where your objects are stored. There highlighted in yellow is the my "OtherPlants" folder where I saved the mesh.
Click the "Save" button, then you can find your object folders with its contents in Map Maker.
I hope this tutorial helps. If you need any more information or help, feel free to ask and I'd be happy to help
