The girl sighed as she ran back to her family's shop as quickly as possible. She placed each and every egg in their correct incubaters, so that they would all be safe. She grabbed her flute and got things ready to go.
"Are you heading out?" A man sang from nearby.
She cleared her throat and looked at him. "Something's going on in the forest, and I want to see what's wrong..." she said quietly. Despite living with this man for the time she has, she hated him... he was one of those who wouldn't hesitate using her as a pawn.
"Out of most people, I believe you are the most intuned with the dragons. You seem to sense something wrong every day, and wind up bringing home orphaned eggs." he sighed and crossed his arms as he looked at her. "Just be careful out there... I don't want you coming home in a body bag. It's bad for business." he chuckled and went to the room in the back.
She sighed... he was an utter... oh, she could call him some words that no one should be saying at all. But, she refrained herself from doing so.
