You do have a point, I loved the mane too. So creamy. -mouth water-
To be honest, I don't know how I improved so quickly. It depends weather you are a good drawer in real life as well. Usually if you are a beginner and a good artist in real life, obviously you will start as rubbish but still improve quickly. What I do for a living is draw, draw and draw realistic stuff.

I use Paint Tool SAI, it does not matter what program you are using although you do not get some of the brushes you want so I have Adobe photoshop cs6 and gimp for extra beautifulnish into my work. -puppy face- 83
