Great tutorial. One thing though.
I've done everything with the 'shade' files for canine, but I'm trying to do the tongue, I've done the eyes correctly.
Which file should I use for the tongue and what should I call it?

Doing the new layer makes it easier. So if you have to erase, you don't erase the mesh. Also, there's a way you can do it to see the mesh through the paint. For photoshop, you set your layer to multiply. Then when you're finished, you can go back to the background layer and just erase the mesh. I have a separate question for anyone who would know. I decided to try and create a preset tonight, and Colored one in photoshop. The only problem is, I have preset 1 and 2 filled with presets I'm assuming are default in the game, so I put it in preset 3. But none of my presets are showing up. I saved them all as .jpg files and changed the name from "pinstripehead, pinstripeeye, etc" to "preset_3head, preset_3eye, etc" and I'm a bit confused. Can anyone guide me from here? I'm on a macintosh if that makes any difference. I wouldn't think so, but you never know.

In the material file, make sure the ''preset_3eye.jpg" is written. Mention the file extensions, it might be 'png' by default

Thats what I'm asking Ingredient. There isn't, so what file should I use? I've tryed the cheadmask1, but since I've got a file named head, not sure how to...

Aha! Think I've got it. Arrr. Hang on a second Ingredient, I'll be right back (Has my Sherlock mind turned on)

EDIT: (Meh Sherlock mind failed) No, I was hoping in the shade for the head there would be the space left were the tounge would of been. Anywho, any files I could try out?

Yes, ppl can only see your preset if you give them the preset file you get when exporting your Preset on Preset Maker.
Should be some sort of .fhp file :)

Tinkallakee, you will have to load your preset in Preset Maker then click the button Export.
With it exported go to your Feralheart folder and go to "presets" not my_presets.
Your exported file should be your "[username][presetnumber].fhp" for me it would be Ingredient8.fhp, understand?
Now take that file and upload it to Mediafire or something.
Then give your friends the download link so they can place the file in their presets folder.
Will be inactive due to work and exams.
