I have the same worries as the two above me too. I just got the hang of doing the .fhz files and stuff..

just back up your files then re export them as their new formats

Backups are something I do out of reflex for this stuff. (Ah, playing The Sims has taught me well.) XD

But what of all the .fhz from/in the backups? What will happen to those when re-introduced into the updated game?

You can overwrite the Files, the Installer will not delete your Custom Maps, Presets, Objects, Skys, Weathers and so on.

New question - (sorry if I'm being a bother) - If we have a map with custom stuff, does the new updated exporter include the custom meshes/materials/particles in the new format, or do we still need to send those, too?

I -think- you still have to send those. I am not sure about this! I will ask Kov tomorrow and update the first Post then.
