Favorite Video Game Music?

I like some songs from Final Fantasy 8, most of those in Final Fantasy 7, several in the Legend of Zelda series, some from Kingdm Hearts, and definately plenty from Okami and Okamiden. Thats not to say Ive played all of those games but I have some of them. I like video game music because its more about the atmosphere.

Shadow of the Colossus has some of the best music I've ever heard :3 it's also my most favorite game of all time.

Favorite video game music?
Hmm...now that's a toughie. I like a lot of video games, and the video games I like mostly have some impressive music.
But I need to narrow it down here, so I'd have to say my three video games/series music..

..Has to be Okami, Shadow of the Colossus, and Professor Layton.
I kid you not, Pokemon and Zelda have some pretty awesome songs as well, but the soundtracks that these three possess are absolute jewels.

"The Sun Rises" is the music for the final battle of Okami when Amaterasu is restored of her full power and true form, and is so absolutely fitting for the moment. I hear this song and I think of all the trials I went through in the game, and how it all came down to this.

Shadow of the Colossus

This music plays during the epilogue of Shadow of the Colossus, after some major spoilers, ((Which I shall not mention)) "Those Who Remain" is so incredibly powerful and emotional. If I had to chose between the whole soundtrack from Zelda and this one piece, I would chose this one, I admit it.

This here is the live version of Professor Layton's Theme, which to me sounds awefully clever and fitting for him. Playing the series reminds me a lot of when I visited London this past April ((Considering it is based in England)) and has to be one of my favorite video game theme.

i've never played okami, but i have used its music for maps and seen some videos of gameplay. i really like the one you provided, and i can't even remember if i've heard it.
as for the shadow of the colossus track, i couldn't agree more. that is definitely one of the best tracks in the entire game, and would pawn the entire zelda soundtracks lol.
i haven't played professor layton, but based purely on this music alone.. i want to. just seems. blargh. i don't know. it's got that old-time-y feel. reminds me of steambot chronicles a bit. at least at one part. neuhofen!
