You can also download meshes from the mesh place.
A thing you would want to do is put the items you are going to use in a seperate group just for that map. That way I think you won't have a problem with exporting the items.

The Guardians of Ga'hoole map sounds awesome. How cool would it be if u could add owls though in it.
