I think that this is a problem with most animal roleplaying games. They used to be the new big thing, since no one had really done an MMORPG based on wildlife before. Back in 2010, stuff like Impressive Title was unheard of. But after a while, people moved on to other games & trends. People started to lose interest---IT and FH just weren't new and exciting to people anymore.

I do think that the amount of players peaked around 2012-2013 and sorta dropped and flatlined since then. Especially after the update, the hacking, lack of updates/content (which I completely understand, especially without the source code), and drama leading to a mass exodus of players. And the irregular registration makes it hard for new players to come in to replace the old ones.

 I want to stay hopeful that FH can become as popular as it used to be. Maybe if the registration was opened and someone were to make a viral YT video, who knows what might happen?

I have a question. I have been playing this game for several years and where did everyone go??? It seems like no one plays anymore and the new map setup is weird i cant find my way around anywhere why did you guys change it so much i miss the old FH where the server would crash bc there was like 1000-2000 ppl on it what happened guys???

I think a good reason for this is the fact that many people who played the game back then are in their late teens/early twenties now. As you get older, you have less free time to do the things that you want to do (work, school, taking care of kids, etc.) Being a full-time college student makes it hard for me to find the time to play FH.

I have another theory.  When younger players would get into trouble, they would rant online about being "banned for no reason". I think the "I got into trouble for doing nothing" stories started to paint FH in a negative light.

But I also think that some people just got bored. When you play the same game over and over again, you eventually gotta find something new to play, y'know?

I think that people should bring sparkledogs back! People are so focused on making their characters semi realistic/realistic nowadays. Everyone is brown, black, and gray. I wanna see neon sparkledogs again!

As for mate/adoption centers, I never usually participated in them. The lag from them usually made my laptop overheat. I remember being part of a mate center a few years ago. We were "mated" for...a day, I think? I think the other player just stopped being active or something. Mate center relationships never usually last that long.

Started browsing through my old screenshots and....man, talk about a nostalgia trip!

My old screenshot folder has like....10 or so pics in it? The nostalgia hit me like a brick wall! Sorta like looking at an old scrapbook or high school yearbook, y'know? Pictures with old friends, maps, and characters (most of which I don't really use anymore).

 Now, I usually use  new screenshots for desktop and profile pics.
