Game Help / Mesh assistance?

It's probably because I'm using FeralHeart on my Mac; but whenever I download any meshes.. It lets me open them, and they appear in object maker (as it should).. But only in BaseWhite material? I believe I have the files in the right place, but whenever I try to put in the material file that the mesh came with, I get an error that says '<file name> cannot be found!'

Am I doing something wrong? ._."
