"In Loving Memory" Interactive Memorial Site
« on: October 28, 2014, 09:53:02 am »
I was in tears when I heard that Tranquil Waters was working on a Memorial Site. It was originally dedicated to Crystal, but she decided to make it global and open to all. It's not out yet, but it is an interactive Memorial Site, kind of like Chicken Smoothie.

I have been recently considering making a website called "In Loving Memory" dedicated to the remembrance of the deceased. Such may include, pets, family members, friends, distant people whether it is celebrities or someone who you thought as a "hero", "role-model" or even suicide victims etc. Of course this would mean that I would have to code the whole thing; and most probably spend money, time and effort to make such a site, so before I even get started on that, I need your opinions.

So if I created such a dedicated Site, would YOU sign up and contribute? Whether it is a short message, lighting a candle or even writing a story/poem dedicated to your lost ones? Please answer below!

Some examples of recent works (including my signature); this one was supposedly the "front" or as some would refer to "the main" banner of the page/site. Like the look of it? I'll be making more in my spare time.

Would you like to submit this Candle to the Remembrance Garden?

Day 2 Updates - Urns (Cats, dogs, humans...yes)

Cat Urn (with and without decoration)

An Altar (yeah that was just a little example/vision...I was messing around)

Ash pendant... (shikaka, I screwed it up xDD)

VERY rough sketch of the Remembrance Garden

That is basically all I have for now; come back tomorrow for more updates c: [strike]I will be adding different types of candles; small sizes, big ones and maybe even some monuments/graves for the remembrance garden... which reminds me, time to draw the pixel Remembrance Garden! Yay! xDD[/strike]

To do List:
*Draw samples of graves
*Draw roses at different stages
*Sketch better map..lol

(Note: yes I drew every single one of these candles/art on here so DO NOT under any circumstance claim them as your own!)[/span][/div]

ADDITIONAL NOTE: I am looking for Administrators; capable of coding in PhP and basically coding a Adoptables Site... Cause the system is similar to that of Chicken Smoothie!

This is a great idea, Rising_dawn.

For the people that either want to share their piece or to back up and strenghten others to talking about cases or such, this is an idea you've gained a watcher on.
I would add a warning in the title explaining what this topic is about just so people know know what they're meant to expect, madam.

Again, I support this idea and ye' entery to do such a thing, well done and good luck.

Thank you! I appreciate it c:
I would love it if you could check the forums out (they are purely for the discussion and updates on the progress of the site) so far though I have only done the few shown drawings and youtube video promoting the site's purpose.

Here's the link to the video; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ua2UqrvjEWA

Thank you, it means so much to be hearing that I have gained another supporter for this project. This makes me even more motivated to do complete such a huge task. I'd love to hear more suggestions and ideas whether it is simply to do with the description or the concept of the site itself.

And yes, I think I should modify the title a bit. Yet again, thank you for the kind words c:

if you would like to, here is the video I made: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ua2UqrvjEWA
And our forums based on the progress, it is meant for discussion and further build up of concept etc: inlovingmemory.boards.net

I am terribly confused. Did Crystal really die? Or is it just a horrible rumour? 0_0

CrystalWolfTear, one of our dearest members, best friends and loyal alphas had left us not long ago.
This isn't quite the correct place to write it (even though it's a memorial thread) so you can PM me and I'll tell you the story.

I believe Tranquil Waters has posted the partial story on Shadows Of Mine. Crystal suffered from depression; she committed suicide, I came in too late and couldn't save her.
