I’ve recently been getting into Buzzfeed Unsolved, which is bad for my health tbh, and I thought it would be interesting to ask you guys: Do you believe in ghosts?

If so, why? And have you ever had a paranormal experience before?

Personally, I had two encounters with a dog in one of my old homes, and one truly terrifying experience with my friends in the surrounding area.

To set the scene, at the time my mum and her partner lived in two separate council houses in the same estate, and as the eldest child it was usually my job to relay messages, take things back and forth, etc. On one night, everyone in our family had decided to sleep in one of the houses, but there wasn’t enough room for me to stay so I had to go to my own bed in the other house. As I was going over to the other house I felt a strange sensation of dread, as if if I turned around I would see something. which was unusual as I did this trip all the time, so I ended up jogging the short distance in fear. Once I got to the other house I bent down to untie my shoelaces, and that’s when I felt and heard a dog panting down my neck. My first instinct was that it was our dog Ben, but when I looked up, Ben was at the end of the hall growling at me. When I turned around to see what was behind me there was nothing there.

The second time I saw the dog, I was alone in the same house. I was drawing in the kitchen late at night with a single light on, and I had gotten to the point where time seemed to melt away as I drew. Then I remember hearing a weird, echoing sound, and the figure of a dog hover across he kitchen. It’s body wasn’t making any movements as if it were walking, it just floated. Once my brain registered what I had seen I pegged it to the other house.

The last experience I had was not with the dog and not in the house. Me, my sister, and our neighbour, had planned to go for a walk up a hill opposite where we lived. This wasn’t odd as we practically went for walks everyday, and where we were going that day was a landmark we affectionately called ”The Horseshoe” for its shape. But when we gathered together that day, we all inexplicably felt on edge, and none of us new why. As we made our way up the hill this feeling of unease kept growing, and the wind, that would have been perfectly ordinary any other day, felt menacing. As we got close to The Horseshoe we started to feel a sense of panic. As we rounded the corner to it we all, at the very same time without looking at each other or following each other’s lead, instantly turned around and bolted back down the hill. None of us new why except that we all felt a sudden surge of fear. As I glanced behind me when we ran I saw a vaguely human looking dark shape dart across the fed toward us, but when I glanced again it was gone. Later my friend would tell me she saw the exact same thing. When we went back up the hill the next day everything was fine and we had a great time, we never experienced anything like we had that day ever again and it continued to be our regular hang out.

If you don’t believe in ghosts, why? And also feel free to poke holes in any stories and have a friendly discussion about it! Nothing like some good ol’ believer v skeptic banter.

Commissions, Trades, & Requests / I'll sketch your characters!

Thought I'd start doing some stuff around the forums again, and what better way to get acquainted again than by drawing some of your characters? I probably wont be doing anything too elaborate yet, but I hope you all enjoy some sketches in a variety of quality!
Maybe you'll get a sketchy headshot, maybe you'll get a background, maybe you'll get an actual light source? Who knows! Not me!

Also as a warning: I do not have a very reliable/constant connection to the internet at the moment, so I may not be able to get some of your requests done right away. I hope you can be patient with me as I juggle my priorities when I do get internet. I'll update this thread any time I know I will have an extended time to do requests!

Introduction / Back On My Nonsense Again

How many threads do you think I have in this topic? Too many probably, but I can somehow never stay away from this game forever, guess I just love you guys too much. Honestly this is just absolute malarkey.

I can't guarantee how long I'll be here for, but lets hope a while! I probably won't be as active as I was back in the day considering I'm in uni now with less time for myself, but I hope this game can once again become a place for me to escape real life for a little while!

And to be honest, I kind of miss doodling characters around here lmao

Discussion Board / Moments in Time

So, basically, I went for a walk at 4 in the morning really far out on the beach for no particular reason. And it's the most weirdest, odd feeling, being awake at that time when everyone else is asleep and you're so far away from everything. It's almost this sensation of floating. It's like this timeless moment where nothing else exists except you and the moment, it's extremely surreal.
And it got me thinking about all the times I've had these surreal moments, which there have been a few, and it just gives me the oddest feeling even thinking about these times.

So this is a smol list of these moments.
-Very far out on a quiet beach at 4 in the morning
-In the middle of a quiet forest with no one else around (Bonus! - At night)
-Walking through a large, open field early in the morning
-Leaving a very loud room and moving into a quiet room nearby, in which you can still hear the muffled sounds of activity
-Being in a dead quiet room that is normally loud
-Waiting at a large, quiet train station on your own

So what about you guys? Have you ever experienced these odd moments, and if so, what were they?
I personally really enjoy these moments, it's just so surreal and I feel like nothing else exists, my mind wanders freely and I'm not usually stressed in the moment. It's like a small, weird escape from reality.

Media / Trying out some animating....

So, I spent like, a whole week, just gawking at some amazing animations of other people and I got really inspired and motivated to try out some animating and let me tell you. Animating is not easy.

But I did try some, and I might carry on.

I've only done two very quick sketches which are both W.I.P, but if you have any advice, tips, or criticism, please don't be afraid to tell me. All are openly accepted and wanted.

This first one is a quick sketch with all of the (I think they're called in animating language) keyframes. It's of my two OC's Kiaz and Andreas just prancing about.

a walk cycle! It's going to end up as Kiaz, hopefully...
I've put a bit more time and frames into this one, and as you can tell the result is that it's allot smoother. I'm having difficulties with the back legs, which is why I haven't done them yet, but otherwise I feel pretty satisfied with this one :3

I'm going to carry on trying animating. We'll see how it goes, it requires allot of patience, so I've been doing it bit by bit, with allot of breaks.

Time for some more art!

First off, I'm gonna show you guys what I've been working on learning to draw.

Second, I would really appreciate an opinion on this page of a short comic I'm planning on making. I haven't put this on deviant art (because I can't think of a name for it >.<) so you are getting V.I.P access to this B)

I can't keep as involved with the community as I'd like, but I can still keep this post updated |D

But anyway, I thought you guys might like this one as it involves some free bases for you to use :3

These psd's come with the lineart, a base to colour on, and shading if you so wish to use it :3

Game Suggestions & Ideas / Possibly implementing the Preset Sync?

I absolutely adore the update, and it's amazing that the staff made it possible, thanks so much guys! So much hard work must have been put into this!

Though I feel that you missed out on an opportunity here.
So, we have the Preset Sync, which is amazing! but at the moment you have to download it yourself, without messing up (Which, I have noticed, is very hard for allot of users xD). I think this new update would have been the best opportunity to have it included in the official download. This way users wont have to go through the trouble of sorting out the download separately.

Not only that but, as most people know by now, this update is merely a massive overhaul of the game, meaning the staff could only work with what concepts were already there (Maps, markings, items, animations, etc.), but the preset sync in itself is something entirely different. It would really feel like actually adding something new, even if only a small thing. And members could wear their presets, without worrying if they will look like marshmallows to people who haven't downloaded the Preset Sync.

but it's merely an idea. Maybe it wouldn't be possible, maybe it would be too complicated, or too much. Please tell me what you think!

Memories

Hey guys, I'm here to give tribute everything Feral Heart has done for us over the years, and the memories it has given us. I defiantly believe that the update was the best thing to do for FH right now, and is exactly what we all needed, but that doesn't mean we are ever gonna forget the great memories we made before it.
Feral Heart gave us all such amazing, and sometimes important, memories. we made friends, we had fun, we created our own stories. And it's important to always remember that. It could be a small thing, or a big thing, all that matters is how important the memory is to us.

So I'm going to take a look at all the times over my 4 years of Feral Heart that give me that warm feeling inside, I will share with you all those moments that mean so much and will never be forgotten. And it's important that we all do that. So after I've put up my pictures, I want you to look through all your screenshots, all of your memories, and share with us your greatest; most heartwarming; most nostalgic moments.
