Nakhti's eyes widened when Sobek turned to look at her, but her sudden hopes of meeting the dog were crushed when the chariot sped away. Bumping her head in the process of getting out from under the wagon, she shook out her short fur and slowly trailed them, making sure to keep atleast a 6 foot distance from the prince and his dog. She followed them towards the city, keeping good pace until she began to tire and give up completely, collapsing on the side of the road.

Thank you ^^)

~Aziza~

The sun blazed on her speckled coat, welcoming the day. She lay on the sun-faded velvet cushion beside the windowsill. Aziza had sent off all day, no time to visit Akins, just no time. Her brother was also napping, the farmer had left to fetch tools. She sighed, realizing she had to get up from her pleasant slumber. She padded across the warm floor, slowly due to tiredness. She slipped through the archway, considering she was not to be running around the palace. As she past the last doorway, she felt the warmth of the sun on her caramel-colored fur. She looked at the city, the city she had seen oh so may times. Her feet carried her off towards the housing, but not to see her brother, to be peaceful in the city. She was cloaked with fallen palm leaves as she drifted off to sleep, listening to the sounds off the city.

(Akins' has no story today, I'm way too tired)
I don't know much about your life beyond this walls
The fleeting sense of love within these God-forsaken walls
And I can hear it in his voice, in every call
This girl who's slept a hundred years has something after all

Sobek

The two horses at the front of the chariot cab let out occasional shrieks as Rameses drove them full speed into the tight city. Sobek, with his head in the wind, was far too distracted by the excitement of the chariot run to notice the tan and white female canine who had begun to follow for a moment. Forepaws still up on the front wall of the chariot, the hound wobbled on his slim legs, holding tight to keep his balance as his master wrecklessly drove at high speed through the streets for his own amusement. The hooves of the horses thundered against the stone ground, signaling any civilian to get out of the way, because Rameses was enjoying himself far too much to bother to slow down. Sobek's tongue dangled from the side of his open jaws, tail wagging at the excitement of the ride, though he did bark a quick greeting to those fellow animals he managed to catch a glimpse of as they flew past, making their way out of the city and into more open ground near the Nile.

Osiris rested for a bit then stood up, walking through the hall's to the Pharoah's room. He entered, dipping his head in respect as he approached the Pharoah and licked his hand, walked to his great bed and bringing his master his sandal shoes. The pharoah smiled, petting Osiris and slipping into his shoes, then calling for a few guards as he left the room. Osiris followed, but walked outside. The Nile, far below, was teeming with life. Traders slowly trickling in, holding their goods in bags. A few hunters came in, their early catches held in their hands.  Osiris climbed down the stairs and approached a reed boat with a stranger in it. The stranger had a blue and white cloak on, with a few beads on his bracelets. The stranger looked at the dog, "I come to see the pharoah. My village has been struck with disease. Please take me to see your Pharoah, Palace guard." Osiris turned, the peasant following him as he approached the pharoah. The peasent talked with the pharoah for a bit, then was dismissed. Osiris escorted him back to his reed boat, and he sailed off upriver.

Nakhti looked up and saw that the chariot was becoming smaller and smaller as it rode away, and her chances of meeting the great Sobek looked more and more bleak. "Well it was worth a shot..." she muttered slowly standing on protesting, sore legs and began the slow trudge back towards where the palace and Nile met, where she had promised to meet Akil later. Towards the bank she walked, this time not bothering to try and dodge the things that were thrown at her. Instead she just whined when a silver platter hit her haunches.

After the tom disappeared, Akil hissed at the sphinx and glowered at the leopard who had so conveniently joined them. Her orange pelt rippled in the sunlight as she stormed forward, getting close to the sphinx "I may not be a royal cat, but I will always be far more noble than you at heart." the words rolled smoothly off her tongue and she radiated and almost frightening aura. Then, with a flick of the tail she walked towards the edge of the roof and jumped, landing neatly on all four paws on the top of a merchant's stand and climbed back down to the ground. Chuffing angrily she quickly ran towards where she was supposed to meet Nakhti.

~Aziza~
She strolled along the streets, peering through each and every window she had past Passing a few familiar faces along the way. Her long walk had taken her to the Nile, she gazed into its pure waters, bustling with life and business. She looked upon the long stretch of water and spotted a familiar dog, Sobek, the grand dog according to the others. She agreed with them, he truly was a grand figure. She had also spotted his master who she knew as a friend, Rameses. There was a light colored female dog, farther from the chariot, who seemed exhausted. Interested to meet this Sobek she trotted along, following the chariot, not very efficiently. She had fallen much too far behind, with the exhausted female and also the chariot out of sight. She had been a tad disappointed with her wasted efforts, though she realised she could never outrun horses for the life of her.

When Nakhti finally made it to the meeting spot she saw that her cat friend was already waiting there, sunning herself on one of the large, flat rocks along the bank of the river. "Akil!" she barked and the feline abruptly looked up "Oh hey Ti!" she grinned. Coming up to stand next to the somali, Nakhti began to retell the earlier events in such a fast-pace fashion that she blurted it all out in a single breath. "Calm down Nakhti. Now what did you say?" The dog shot her an embarrassed smile. "I was out walking, and then I almost got to meet Sobek! But his chariot was to fast and I'm afraid I couldn't catch up..."
Akil smiled lightly "That's good.", Nakhti nudged her flank with a wet nose "So what did you do?". The cat shrugged, "Oh I had to break up an argument between that royal sphinx and another tom." she replied nonchalantly. "Ooooooh! You like this tom, don't you?!" the basenji barked, Akil's ears flattened "Wh-what? No! He just was slightly handsome!"
"Whatever you say Akil!"
