Since I oh-so LOVE items and have plenty, it would be nice if there was a search box, arrow key, or body part separation. I really, really would enjoy less struggle in finding my items, so a search box would be a blessing.

This sounds like a wonderful idea, as I'm very sure that lots of other people have this issue, but I do believe it would be impossible to implement without the source code. You could always try clicking slightly below the drag bar so that you can flip through your items at a slower pace without missing any. But a great idea nonetheless! c:
