Fur Textures

For canines I prefer original fur textures and for felines I use Red's IT textures.

I don't really like most of the fancy textures. I'll use some of the "softer" canine fur textures for presets, but other than that I just use a self edited variation of the default. It's the same except a bit less opacity (smoother colors) and different color paw pads

I actually like the way the fur looks with the default textures. Even though I do appreciate the realistic aspect of Tearless' textures, the main reason why I use them is because I don't like how the markings around the eyes look in the default ones lol.

As for going textureless, I never really thought about trying it before. Probably because I never played Impressive Title. I checked out Red's IT textures (thanks for the link AutumnTheWulf!) and I actually like them. I also agree with Red on how they do give a The Lion King kind of feeling. I'm deeefinitely gonna try going textureless with future characters.

I mostly use the default textures, simply because I like the way that it looks. While I've eyed a couple really interesting textures out there, it's always felt a bit more suiting to use the default ones. I've looked around some of the great creations that users have made, and there really are quite a few good ones out there, so you never know in the future.

They're really pretty and realistic textures. You should try them out.
