As mentioned earlier, the biggest lag is caused from other users, and not the stuff in the map, though particles can slow things down as well.
I think you will be alright.
The in game lags depends on which settings you are playing with as well. Running the game with 4x Anti-aliasing instead of 0 makes differences, same if you run the game by 800 x 600 instead of 1920 x 1080. View distance does some difference to the performance as well in a tight map like the one above.
But something like lag in bonfire is something most users will experience unless they have a really decent computer and run the game on low settings.
Just for the thread in the matter of hand, I got a rather new computer as well. It uses a core i7 clocked at 3.6 Ghz right now, a GPU with 3 GB of video memory, and plenty of RAM memory to go around, and I still experience low frame rates under 20 fps on crowded evenings in bonfire. Maybe I'm missing something crucial here, but FH is infact very demanding if you want it sharp.
