It's basically about dogs in Japan, they all come together to defeat the infamous Akakabuto(it's a bear). Ginga Nagreboshi Gin focuses on a silver striped Tora-Ge named Gin, he was born into human life, but "Grandpa" (Takeda Gohei, a bear trainer) takes Gin and forcibly trains Gin to become a bear dog. Before that, when Gin was a puppy, his father, Riki, had died from trying to kill Akakabuto, but he is still alive but does not remember anything. Gin joins a platoon of the Ou army with his friend John, he meets the leader, a Great Dane named Ben, and Ben says if he can make the jump he will accept him as a solider, and Gin makes it. They are all amazed so they definatly accept him as a soldier.
