Trying out some animating....
« on: August 08, 2016, 02:15:53 pm »
So, I spent like, a whole week, just gawking at some amazing animations of other people and I got really inspired and motivated to try out some animating and let me tell you. Animating is not easy.

But I did try some, and I might carry on.

I've only done two very quick sketches which are both W.I.P, but if you have any advice, tips, or criticism, please don't be afraid to tell me. All are openly accepted and wanted.

This first one is a quick sketch with all of the (I think they're called in animating language) keyframes. It's of my two OC's Kiaz and Andreas just prancing about.

a walk cycle! It's going to end up as Kiaz, hopefully...
I've put a bit more time and frames into this one, and as you can tell the result is that it's allot smoother. I'm having difficulties with the back legs, which is why I haven't done them yet, but otherwise I feel pretty satisfied with this one :3

I'm going to carry on trying animating. We'll see how it goes, it requires allot of patience, so I've been doing it bit by bit, with allot of breaks.

Wow, great job with these! They're beautiful! You have such a good understanding of feline anatomy too, which makes these even seem flawless. Great job, can't wait to see more!<3

Thank you so much!
I've put many hours of work and years of research into learning anatomy so I can be sure that my work is accurate. It's one of the things that I feel I should always be practicing and re-checking so that I can feel comfortable with my art. I'm really glad that this has paid of on the animating front.
Again, thank you!

My, this is actually very good. Even with just a number of sketches, it's amazing what's possible with a pen and an idea. You have a lovely grasp of anatomy, and movements in the last picture, especially, are very fluid and life-like. You have a talent for animation, and it could take you somewhere great. c:

If you define yourself by the power to take life, the desire to dominate, to possess… then you have nothing.

aaaa I would love to try animating that, but I'm not that skilled yet xD I'm hoping one day I'll be able to animate all sorts of things, including this!

Oh wow, thank you so much! I put allot of time into making sure I got the movements on the walk cycle correct, watching allot of videos and reading a number of guides, so I'm glad I was able to pull it off. I would love to take my animation allot further, so hopefully with allot of practice I can become a half good animator xD

You're very good at animating. I hope to see more coming from you. :3

Thank you! I'm definitely gonna keep on trying x3 ~<3
