I genuinely tried to get into Tera, but it turned me off during the first questline.

It just... It didn't run smoothly for me, the characters looked weird, and I didn't really think it was all that and a bag of chips. I would rather play something like Dragon's Prophet(a really sad excuse for an MMO by Sony) than Tera, since that ran better and at least the characters looked... Vaguely like they're supposed to.

While it is true that TERA's FPS is rather low (and therefore does not work well on low level computers - including my own) even some great gaming computers have a lot of lag due to the detail of the game (and the fact that it isn't.. I suppose, well made in the sense of frame rate). The questline has been majorly updated, and once you hit level 20 the best way to level up is to simply do dungeons and while you're queued do the main story line quests.

TERA really isn't the type of game that a lot of people get into the story of (although I personally like the story!) and usually just play it for the PVP aspects and dungeon/raids.

The character models look fantastic on my computer, and it's not the best computer ever, it's a few years old already!

I don't mean to offend, but I'd assume your graphics card is out of date or your computer is older if the character models look wonky.

Sorry you didn't like the game!

Yeah I totally understand haha. While I personally think the character designs look nice, the plot isn't the best in the world. And with how on and off I play it, that's probably a good thing for me lol- if it was super deep I would confuse myself each time I picked it up and forget where the story left off. I like it more for the battling and exploring, honestly. Imo, I still think it's pretty good for a free mmo, but I totally respect your opinion! Everyone has different things they look for in games like this.

The battle mechanics and character design are what have kept me with the game. They're gorgeous (both the characters and the moves) and the gameplay is definitely full of action. I always feel like I'm on my toes having to dodge something, and the BAMs are super fun to take down!

Mm, I've played for ages. I took a break once I got my Ninja to level 65. I just got the Dreadnaught gear on her, with the eventual goal of getting Imperator. While I do enjoy some of the storylines in the game, I have to say the prologue is cringeworthy(Mostly at the part where the little girly says, 'my heart is with you always' when silence would have been SO much better!). I also like that one Witch School in the lands near Popolion(I think it's around there... not entirely sure). Totally a Hogwarts reference. The gameplay is amazing, which is one of Tera's strongpoints. Though... the sad thing is, a lot of the classes outshine other classes with how outrageously overpowered they are. I thought Brawler was bad(It still is with the amount of knockback and 'stasis' it has) but Ninja... ninja is a new way to run dungeons.

I agree. They really need to change how OP they make the new classes. It's kind of ridiculous XD

And that's awesome! What server is your Ninja on? :o I've never got the amazing gear on my 65 because I don't do raids or anything that often lol I kinda just play to 65, hang around on that character ever so often to talk to people or whatever and level a different character.

The prologue is silly. I wish they had kept the Island of Dawn as the starting area. I really enjoyed it, would've been cool to go back to it at level 65 - have it the same place but different instances for level 65s and new players so the new player Island of Dawn is really nice and calm and peaceful and then the level 65 Island of Dawn is corrupt and horrible like it is now - would've really made it feel like you've come full circle, and you'd see characters you met when you first started once again.
