Hello there Floofs,
So upon some of the recent change with the new "Panel" name switch, some confusion on the old version of it still lingers here, So this is a guide of the NEW "Character Reset" that was used but has changed due to the new Preset sync that was introduced recently. Now onto the tutorial. For others who do come across threads that tie into this, you may use as ref if you may.

Why do I need Character Reset:
The reason this was made is to save your character from bad maps or just "bad token" maps that you may come across. This was introduce sometime in 2012-2013 to save characters instead of delete and re-make characters again. Very useful tool for those who happen to go into a private map and doesn't quite work.

Step 1

Well if you have a character in a "dead" map or you have the constant "Failed to connect" or "Bad Token. Then try this Character Reset. When you log in you will see something like this on your top right hand side.
NOTE If you do not see something like this when you log in, then try to log in again. Usually it does turn off for some odd reason after you are gone for a while. Just like when the system logs you out from the forums when you haven't done anything for a long time.
Anyways, the only major change here is that the "Character Reset" has name changed to "Panel"

Step 2

For security reason you do have to log in again with your ingame username and password.
NOTE DO NOT log in with your forum name, this does not work

So for example I would have to log in as Youshallfearme2 since that is MY username, I don't log in as Feareh. Once that step is done, then you are ready for step 3.

Step 3

Red Arrow: This "Reset" button will poof your character back to Lonely Cave. The basic concept of the Reset is generally understandable.
Green Arrow: The "Go Home" sends your character back to the last place you set home to. So if you set your home to the South Pole, when you click this it will poof your character there.
Once you have completed these steps you then successfully saved your character from a bad map. Just a minor note that if you are logged in when you are doing this, it is strongly recommended that you log off and log back in for it to take effect.

Additional/New Features

Now for the new features that the "Panel" tab has to offer there are mainly two other functions. One being the Preset Uploader, and the other being the "Full Account Reset"

Reason for them: Main reason for the Preset sync is to cute down the constant jumbling around for preset links from people. Such as going to mediafire or dropbox just for a persons preset. Preset Sync was made by Raz to fix the hassle and it ONLY works if you have downloaded the preset sync tool onto your computer. If you yourself want this preset sync visit the link below:

Preset Sync:

For the "Full Account Reset", it is basically give you a clean slat. Where you start from the very beginning in your account and removing literally everything from friends/groups/ and even characters. Only do this when you really want to start over in the game since once you enter in your password in there, it will be permanent.

Well that is all in this tutorial, and I hope that this does enlighten some people in the new system. For further questions on hoe to retrieve your character, feel free to PM me and ill get to you as soon as I can.

Other Games / Mabinogi obsessed anyone?
« on: November 20, 2013, 08:57:04 am »
Ok so I have friend Blu to thank for getting me hooked to this game, but has anyone ever heard of the game Mabinogi?
Its a amazing game and its VERY addicting to say. I sometimes go on there when I literally spend days on FH just to mix up my game play
(some clips of me from le game)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjWFMKiykUI
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8ZxbCp9FTc
This game is all about doing quest and to get to the highest level you can by going in dungeons, fighting animals, and doing the Mabinogi Saga. When starting out you play as either a human, elf, or giant (I be a elf).The game itself is totally free for anyone to play, the only thing that does cost money on the game is the additional pets that are on there website. But other then that the game is 100% free.
So what do you think of this game? Would you play it? Or do you think its just another version of Dungeons and Dragons

Presets & Markings Tutorials / Feareh's Tutorial: Moving Marking Presets
« on: October 20, 2013, 08:08:22 am »

Ok so upon request on how to make a moving preset and with Halloween coming, I felt like giving you floofs a tutorial on how to properly make a functional moving preset.

Ok so firsts thing is first is you need to design your preset. Like mentioned in my previous tutorials you design presets with GIMP or Photoshop. If you don't want to spend any money I suggest you get GIMP although it does take some getting used to. Now for a example of this moving preset I will use Feareh.

NOTE (Please don't steal my example for your preset, make your own)
You first start off designing your character with the basic feline or canine modle. From there you go ahead and erase the parts you want the moving markings to show. You can see that some of the darker areas have been erased. That erased stop is where your texture is going to show. You can also control the amount of moving texture you want to be visible. You can do that by lowering the opacity of your shaded out space so slight moving texture is still seen
Usually you normally save these body parts as jpgs, but for moving textures you save them as png's. This includes body part such as:

Head
Eyes
Hair
Body
Tail
and if you want Equip

When you have gotten your needed parts and your texture that you wish to move inside your character, you then place it in the "my_preset" folder of your choice and input the fallowing coding on the body part you want moving
Code: [Select]
material preset_4_bodyMatL
{
receive_shadows on
technique
{

pass
{
ambient 1.000000 1.000000 1.000000 1.000000
diffuse 1.000000 1.000000 1.000000 1.000000
specular 0.010000 0.010000 0.010000 1.000000
emissive 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 1.000000
texture_unit
{
texture PresteBody1.jpg
tex_address_mode wrap
filtering trilinear
colour_op replace
scroll_anim 0.0 0.1
}
texture_unit
{
texture PresetBody.png
tex_address_mode wrap
filtering trilinear
colour_op alpha_blend
}

}

}
}
NOTEThe tip file code (Presetbody.jpg) is your actual moving texture picture. This could be a picture of fire or ice or water or literally anything that you want moving. This jpg part at the top is NOT suppose to be transparent. However the bottom file (PresetBodt.png) is your actual character body that you erased parts from to see the texture move. This HAS to be transparent in order for your texture to be viewable.

Once you have successfully fallowed these steps your preset should look like this

(This is a more suttle normal paced moving preset)
For this speed you should have it like
Code: [Select]
tex_address_mode wrap
filtering trilinear
colour_op replace
scroll_anim 0.0 0.1

(This is a fast pase preset)
If you are wanting your markings to move faster then you Increase your scroll_anim 0.0 0.1
All you really need to do is change the last decimal number to a higher number =faster movement or a lower number =slower movement.
The use of this code can be literally done on any part. If you are getting white blob characters then check your file name and make sure it is right.
For other questions on how to export presets to game or just how to basically make a preset, then take a look at my
"Preset Basics" thread I made for you young floofs to take a look at
http://www.feral-heart.com/index.php?option=com_jfusion&Itemid=2&jfile=index.php&topic=31873.0
Well this concludes this preset tutorial. I hope this tutorial was useful to you guys and I cant wait to see what presets you guys might make.
(NOTE, there might be some things I have forgotten to mention such as moving hair and mouth and eyes. Its not in here yet cause its late at the moment.)
