Feral Heart

You ask what the gem was. "This forest... it isn't a normal forest. Ever since I stepping into these woods, I felt so... disconnected from the Earth. I don't know much about this place, other than that it is far from Earth." She paused. "I am just like you. I am not from here. I am from Earth. Most likely like you. I was not born a deer. Other than that, I know nothing of my past. My earliest memory was waking up in the middle of this dark forest. There are few others like us, the rest seem to have been living here ever since the beginning of time. And, whenever somebody comes into this foreign world... they can't get out. I've tried to find a way out, but the forest goes on and on. Eventually, I decided to settle down. I realized I had a talent for healing, and so for all my life here I've been the healer of the forest. When an animal has a wound or sickness, they will come to me for an ailment. Sorry, I'm rambling. I didn't mean to tell you my life story, heh... Anyways, I've discovered that there is a secret about this forest- there are several gems hidden around the forest. Each one has a deep meaning, but... I've never been able to figure it out. All I know is, if you destroy one, the forest will be in chaos. Those crows you saw earlier? They are a warning. In a few days, something horrible will happen. It is different for each gem, but it will still be bad. We will need to be prepared for whatever happens."

Right now my muse is kinda dead, but probably tomorrow I will have an idea for the story. So I will have to ask for ya'll to be a little patient, sorry!

As you look closely at the sapphire, you realize that this is not a sapphire. In the center of the gem were faint green streaks. You wish you could pick it up, but you are afraid that your hooves would break it. You turn your head to look around the room again when you hear it fall and shatter. You have forgotten about your antlers! They must of pushed it down. You start to panic. What if that had meant something to Sarah? You start to regret coming in here. You leave the den, and gasp at the sight. The sky is clouded with crows. You watch them for a few minutes as they fly past. Then, you smell Sarah. She leaps in, fear in her eyes. "What happened? You- I told you not to stand up! Wait... where you... in my den? DID YOU BREAK IT?" You can see the fury in her eyes. Before you can say anything she runs inside to see her beautiful gem broken on the ground. The glow was starting to fade. "YOU BROKE IT!" She stomps her hooves and rears at you. "I-I'm so sorry, I really didn't mean to!" You stutter.  Sarah started to breathe heavy in anger. "I help you in the kindest way possible, saving you from death, and you just break in to my house!" You say nothing as you back away. You can see the anger in her eyes slowly start to fade. She then sighs calmly. "I'm sorry. I know you're not from around here. You probably don't know any better..." Sarah says.

...Well I come back to see a huge explosion of names.

Sarah smiles. "I like that name. Where are you from?" You have absolutely no idea. And you're not really up to creating some wacky story, so you just stutter "I...I don't know..." Suddenly, Sarah's smile disappears. She is silent for a moment. You wonder what she is thinking about. She sighs. "Well, it doesn't really matter anyways. I'll be right back. I have to go find some things. Please stay here, standing up will just hurt your leg. If anything happens just call, and I'll be here as quick as I can." You nod, and she disappears into the bushes. You wonder what to do while she is gone...
