Here is a list of my wonderful poetry, that literally everything rhymes because I am a rhyme-freak. I don't see a poem without rhyme a poem, to be truthful...
Revision of Loki {Based on Norse Mythology}
Everyone entered the dining room,
And to the table they all gathered around,
Odin took a seat beside his sons,
And upon the table he placed his crown.
Loki stared with great untrust,
But he couldn't help but grin,
Until Odin passed the crown to Thor,
And to their rambling Loki broke in.
My brother rather be a traitor,
Though I have nothing to give a rank,
I shall not do as he commands,
When it should be me that he is to thank.
All the things I am told to do,
Is not what I want of my own,
But rather what you believe,
Like water crashing on to the stones.
So is it now that you have command,
When I am the one who has the right,
Yet you are the one who stole it,
Like a an raven grasping a serpent midflight.
So now it is your choice my father,
That you reckon what I am to do,
Is it my chance to disobey him,
Or my punishment to stay true.
The ale you brought to this table,
Have you shared only with brother,
When cast to me so long ago,
That was the me and thy mother.
Now like an old ragdoll in a chest,
You cast me aside and do as you please,
When so long ago I was like the king,
Like the ringmaster with all the keys.
So as long as you act of such,
And expect me to obey so well,
I shall remind you of the time,
Of when to your knees you once fell.
If I can remember why do you not,
Think of when you gave me everything,
For those who remember not their past
Are forced to repeat it in a neverending ring.
Everytime you've ever tried to escape,
What history you've had to play,
And all the times I have won,
You disregarded them in every display.
Pretending my acts are fake and untrue,
And blaming it on jealousy's sake,
is just so silly don't you think,
When you'll only be swallowed by a snake.
So I shall take back the crown,
And I promise you my brother's head,
For what will his rule matter,
Once he is recognized as dead.
Odin gave a stare to Loki,
Cold as death in disguise,
Loki turned his stare with a laugh,
Until Thor raised his voice to surprise.
There is nothing you can say,
That will make me fear you,
How do we know your not just talking,
It doesn't reflect what you really do.
If I was such a traitor,
Why would I step foot here,
When it is I who shall take your head,
And free myself of the shackles of fear.
Travelling in the path of death,
What choice do you have to make,
I challenge you to a battle,
Above the highgrounds of the lake.
Everyone now stared at them,
As Odin forced them to part,
Thor rambled at Loki,
But Loki was only at the start.
This challenge I accept Thor,
For I know that I shall win,
And when I return to the homeland,
I shall bring back your wretched skin.
For have you not known that,
Of all the things I have done,
This moment has been long awaited,
In a list of things I have won.
All I plan is to be accomplished,
Like any good ruler I shall rise,
And I shall never again call you my brother,
Instead I shall treat your death with despise.
The room fell silent with the argument,
As Loki was pulled away by Odin with struggle,
Thor gave a last stare and waved goodbye,
And with a snicker believed it was the end of his trouble.
