Game Help / My Characters Have Really Dark Fur! D:

I got a surprise when I went to choose what character I wanted to play today! All of my characters have fur that is way too dark and noticeable! I didn't tamper with any files at all, so I have no idea what happened!

Check this out:



You see her inner ears and her toes? Her whole body used to be that lighter pink colour. But this happened to all of my characters, except for my preset.

What do I do? >_<

Game Help / Preset Help - Scrolling Fire

Hey everyone! ;D

So, before I start working on a preset I thought about, I've been trying to do some planning. And I'm a little stumped on this one part.

See, I want to make it so the feet look like they are on fire. Perhaps the eyes and inside of mouth. Also, the mane. That's the idea. I want the fire to move, too. So I'm thinking maybe scrolling is what I'm looking for? This is also going to be the first time I've ever done a scrolling preset, so I don't fully have a grasp of it yet. I have a vision for this preset! I just don't really know the best way of going about doing it.

I have the coding! I'm perfectly okay there! However, most of the examples of the scroll.png files that I have seen use a gradient. Here is the example on Ruby1234's coding for beginners thread:



As you can see, the gradient is mostly linear, up and down. If I made this in fire colours, it wouldn't look very realistic, right? But what if I made it jagged? Maybe with more of the flame shape? Do you think that would work?

So, here are my questions:
  • How would you personally go about making this? (Is scrolling the best option? What would you do if you wanted moving flames?)
  • If you think scrolling could work, describe what you think the scroll.png file design should be? (I can try and recreate that.)
Any input would be appreciated! It will save me a lot of time from trial and error ;D

Site/Forum Help / Where Did the Preset Uploader Go?

Hey guys! ^.^

Previously, under the User Panel, we used to be able to upload our presets for the Preset Sync. But that's disappeared! I'm not sure if this means Preset Sync was deemed obsolete, and they're ending it? Perhaps there's a new place to upload our presets? Maybe I'm blind? I really don't know, but if anyone knows anything about this, I'd really appreciate your help ^_^

So I'd love to take the FH forum around with me when i leave home. I know that the forum can be accessed using the mobile browser, but it isn't mobile friendly.

So i was wondering...does anyone know of phone apps that make accessing the forum away from home easier? What do you guys do?

Hello, my awesome floofs! <3

I'm the type of person who really enjoys the process of answering questionnaires about myself. Its just fun and enjoyable! I've been thinking about creating this thread for a while now, actually. There are many things that I would love to get to know about the FH community members. Appreciating how diverse we all are. I'm sure there are many others here that feel the same!

So I have this idea to build a really awesome questionnaire by getting the community involved! I want to know what kinds of questions would everyone like to see asked? What kinds of things would you like to know about one another? I'm hoping to gather lots of ideas from as many people from the community as I can!

For example, I would like to know about the kinds of pets people have! What kind of animals, breeds, what are their names...Maybe people's favourite movie and why.

Please keep in mind that I will not include any inappropriate suggestions, or personal questions (phone numbers, addresses, etc.)

Do you guys think this is a good idea? Also, where do you think I should post the community questionnaire once it's all put together? I was thinking maybe in Forum Games!

Hello everyone!

I hope I'm posting in the right place. I looked for any other posts resembling this one, and didn't find any.

So! I was recently sent on a quest from someone to find Tearless' wolf eye texture. I haven't been able to find it anywhere, and I've been trying to look for a solid 45 minutes. So, I was wondering if anyone has this texture and is willing to share it, or if anyone knows where I can find it.

I have just discovered this board, and I thought it looked like fun :D I love answering questions, and I am curious about what the community would like to find out about me. If they want to find out anything at all ._.

You guys have full permission to ask me anything at all. I am an incredibly open person, so anything is fair game as long as you are prepared for the answer ^_^ However, I won't answer any questions that could put me in danger (like giving out my location) or questions that go against forum rules ;) But that's understandable, right?

I'm really excited to see what questions you have for me ^.^

Site/Forum Help / Registration Problem

Hi there!

My friend was trying to make a Feral Heart account today. She had been checking in every hour or two (as suggested in the official post regarding registration), and she had finally found it open! However, the site would get stuck on the part where it checks to see if the username and email are available to use. So she decided to try another browser to work on it. She told me that it kept giving her errors back instead of working with her. I asked her what kind of errors she was seeing, but she had headed off to work and now can't remember.

If anyone knows any solutions to this issue, please let me know. We will keep trying to get this to work somehow, but nothing can be done about it for the rest of today, as the registration had already opened. If we still can't find a solution, we will try to get in touch with a moderator, in case there is a problem in their systems that they would have to know about. But I would really much prefer to see if the community has anything for us first before I go off and message them >.< They are probably terribly busy as is.
