Art Gallery / Critique my art?
« on: October 27, 2021, 06:44:50 pm »
Feeling unsure of my awkward toon style, again. Pretty normal... Would love some outsiders' perspectives of it. If you need a better view of any of these, or even just more examples, I have an Artfol account under the user ghastlyghoul. If you have any ideas for commission prices (with in game currency or actual cash) those would be appreciated too. Thank you so much for your time!!!

I like to get unbasised opinions from strangers sometimes. I want to get into animation and comics one day, if that gives you a better idea of what I'm going for. Though I don't know what that is myself...

Game Help / Re: Exe won't update? Can't get legendary pack?
« on: May 26, 2020, 01:43:11 am »
If (on windows PC) you right click on the .exe & select 'properties' you might be able to find the permissions thing there.  I tell the computer i have permission & can do that then.
Hope that helps?
It did thank you!

I messed around with it all again and with this tip I got it working again and with the legendary files added too!!

For that easy install, all you need to do is open the .zip, then copy the FeralHeart folder that's inside of it and place it in your C: drive (where your main FeralHeart folder is located). Everything should install itself, allowing to replace files when asked.

As for asking for the new patch, all you have to do is move the new .exe file (the 1.17a) into your main FeralHeart folder and replace when asked as you've done before.

Oh I was moving the files around in documents not the c drive. haha. but now it's saying I need premission to replace the exe?

Hey there! Often times, the patch download can "delete itself" as many computers scan it and find it to be something bad (it isn't though). That can be fixed as long as you re-download it and allow it through the firewall - then replace the old .exe with the new.

As for the markings - what markings are you installing and how abouts are you doing it?
Try Spicy's way. What about markings... If you wanna install legendary markings and items, this link is the best: https://feral-heart.com/smf/index.php?topic=67888.0
Yeah I was using that version of the files and tried dragging them into the main feral heart folder and nothing really happened...

Game Help / Exe won't update? Can't get legendary pack?

So i tired to download the legendary textures and items pack. But it keeps telling me I need to download the latest patch, even though I'm sure I have it. The odd thing is, before I tried to get those new features the game played just fine! Then when I tried to move the new files in it stopped working and kept saying to update it. I was just wanting to be able to see people's characters instead of white textureless masses. :(
I've deleted and redownloaded the initial "FeralHeart Game Setup" and patch twice now trying to just reset it all before trying again to add the new files, but I guess I've just broke it- As it now won't even accept the patch, it won't even start again to just play it without the legendary stuff like it was doing before?? The second time around I noticed the old exe didn't pop up with the installer to even replace it and I was only prompted to do so when replacing the patched exe with a second copy of itself. Looked as if it only downloaded the installer and not the game. Was it because I had the legendary files and new exe waiting elsewhere to replace the original files? Like my computer was like "oh lol don't need those duplicate named files at all then." Am I going to have to delete ALL of the feral heart related files then in order to start over? I had difficulties downloading the legendary files though, that's why I saved them elsewhere on my computer... I don't have any idea of what's going on or if I explained it right. I'm just so confused and tired-

Welcome to FeralHeart! Looks like we share a name x) However mine is pronounced as "aim", if yours is the usual pronunciation of "ameh". I'm sure you'll have no problem making friends here. Excited to see you around!
Oh that’s cool! Technically Ame is a nickname I received, a shorter version of one of my old usernames. I’ve just kept it ahaha. I usually read it as “ameh”

Thank you for sharing all that with us! It's rare somebody just straight up speaks about their interests and hobbies. Welcome back, and I hope to see you around!

Yeah! I thought I’d just go ahead and do it so you guys can know the basics about me haha
