~solved~Please help.blue screen error deleted important files for fh

Hello you lot!I had the blue screen error message today and now feral heart will not work I have two questions.                   1 will I have to reinstall feral heart since this error appeared?   
The program can't start because d3dx9_42.dll is missing from your compute

2 if I reinstall does this means all my characters will be deleted? because I was In the middle of a role play when it happened

1.You could try that just pack up your maps presets items maybe all what you want to keep don't forget screenshots. Also if you reinstall remember to delete the Feralheart old folder.
2. No your characters will stay. Characters are with user. Not with computer.
