Lake Of Forests
« on: December 14, 2015, 12:47:15 am »
I am happy to announce my very first map! It will use mostly default objects and textures so everyone may enjoy it.

If you have any ideas on what you'd like me to add to the 'Lake Of Forests' please mention your idea! I would be happy to hear it.

Waterfalls, maybe. I love them and I think they add a nice feel to the map. Waterfalls are a default mesh, but you have to make it yourself in object maker, much like the floating islands like in Sky's Rim.

The height map is now complete, which means we get to place stuff! Hooray!
(How does one add pictures to a post?)

go to imgur.com and upload your picture. Then on the left it will have a box saying "BBC code (forums)". Just copy and paste that url into your post and the picture will show up (the picture won't show up until you post/preview though)

This is what the map looks like so far! Let me know if you think of anything to add to.

*EDIT*
-------------------------------
The 'walls' will be smoothed down to look more natural. Just to clear things up!

Making some progress.....

Hmm.. There isn't much variety in the trees..... Would everyone be able to handle some modded trees? I think the map pack will have it already so people wouldn't have to get the packs. Who can tell me a few mesh-makers who allow map makers to use their meshes in online maps? (I wouldn't gain money off of this)

That is a beautiful map title, I must say!
A good idea would be to make sure that all of your structure of the map is how you exactly want it to be; ensure that you are happy with the result and where everything is placed before you add any trees n stuff.
I'd love to see a good combination of trees, and perhaps some little hidden objects here and there to intensify the excitement of the map. ;>
