I have my heart set on making a sort of long-term, semi-realistic (as realistic as realism can get, working around the fantasy elements), sort of medieval-themed ranked Dragon group, and would really like for it to have it's own map. I would make a map myself, but I do not know how to zip items, have no experience with meshes, and feral heart crashes whenever I try to play around with height maps. I have tried to find maps for it for a while, but none of them, though there are some really great ones, just aren't quite what I'm looking for.
I can pay in any combination of DA Points &/or art. My art examples can be found
here; I could pay solely in one or the other, or a combination. Tell me your general prices first and we can work something out; I also would be willing to overpay once the map is completed, depending on how much I like it.
In the map, I would need:For the bare minimum, I'd just like a sort of mountain-and-valley theme, and large. In the mountains at at least one part, I would need a large den for the royal family surrounded by smaller dens for the other members. Some trees along the valleys, and definitely a river going through the map. Basically think of the kinds of things dragons would need.
I would need there to be mountains on one side, and foothills on the other half (sort of like the hills in The Good Dinosaur, that kid of biome).
For the files I would absolutely need them to be organized into which folders they go in when the map's installed. I myself have absolutely no way of going through them and also need it to be easier this way for the group members.
Other:That would just be the bare minimum; if you could add in anything else I would obviously pay a heck of a lot more in the end. I'm not looking for all too complicated meshes, and in fact would like simple ones so that we don't have to worry about people crashing, but I'm not too concerned about it so don't worry about that.
I would love if there were some systematic variety to the dens; e.g. large, majestic one for the royals, smaller ones for the nobles, crummier ones for the other members, maybe even crummier ones for things like prisoners/bottoms. For ideas, keep in mind that the ranks will include blacksmith, runesmith, prisoner, noble, hunter, etc.
I would really freaking love if the base^ was in a secluded valley of some sort. I would love it. I would. But I just need it to be in the mountains.
An interactive environment. I would love animals, such as elk or something, but those aren't important; I would also especially, ESPECIALLY love things like small, natural caves here and there, just y'know. Things you can interact with & use.
Other smaller bases would be nice but I'm not really looking for it too much.
I especially, especially, want a realistic environment; please no jagged, spontaneous mountains. (Actually, I could probably provide a height map if you need it, depending on what you're willing to work with. You might have to convert it to grayscale tho because for some reason they never work for me).
A realistic environment; trees 'n rocks 'n such. All I really need is trees, but I would love more detail.
A big booster: several maps. I would obviously pay for each individual map respectively, but they'd have to be connected via portals. Also, if there were multiple maps I'd worry a hell of a lot less about detail.
There could be a separate one for the base in a valley, separate one for the foothills, etc, things like that, though I know it's a lot too ask so I don't have my hopes up for it too much.
What I absolutely don't want:No floating islands, such as sky's rim, or otherwise levitating things (like ascension island), and no man-made structures like houses. However, I wouldn't mind glowing crystals, wooden bridges, or things that look like a dragon could have built.
The map would typically be private, but I wouldn't mind it being public if the maker wouldn't mind it; especially if the group ever becomes inactive, there'd be no need for it to go to waste.
If you're interested feel free to contact me with examples of your past works. I wouldn't pay until it's finished; same with art, though I could provide the WIPs if you also provided WIPs of the map. The pay would start at whatever your basic requirements are, then once I look at it I would pay you maybe a heck of a lot more if I really love it.
