Random forum logouts

Few weeks ago forums started to log me out randomly. The strange thing is that it unauthorizes me only in SMF, i.e. I stay authorized in Joomla. Any ideas?

So the forum logs itself logs you out but the site keeps you on?

Deleting cache files wouldn't help in a situation like this? I'm certainly not clever when it comes to these things, but maybe it could have something with the site running https, you save your password for the forum and all that stuffies?

You could try deleting all the cookies for this site in particular and resave the passwords to remember them.

I've already tried deleting cookies and so on, but it does not help. And about HTTPS: it does not work for me at the moment, even if I type "https" in address bar, but AFAIR site was accepting only secure connections just few days ago! It looks strange to me.

I do not recall anything getting changed lately when it comes to the forum itself. But if I see our server master around I will ask him about this if your problems still remains, he will know more for certain.

I removed the requirement for secure connections a while ago there was a 30day cached redirect for Firefox and chrome possibly safari and opera too if anyone uses them. I believe the problem occurs due to the Joomla site being loaded in https and then the smf forum being rendered as part of the page from a http source with curl  req's linking the two. To be honest its a horrible integration which I will be happy to ditch(when a theme gets sorted so I can shift up to smf2 and whatever release of Joomla is available at that time). If your browser is still stuffing you on https clear you cache and try http then there shouldn't be a problem I've also noted that clearing the cache and restarting the browser can be needed with FF don't know about others. But that's an annoying cookie bug I come across every-time something cookie related changes here...

*raises hand* I'm still getting stuck on https and am still logging out randomly. Any other suggestions?

There's this big button usually located on the front of your computer case or ontop, a light should  be commonly placed next to it. Press it and hold it in for a few seconds and it should sort it self out quickly!
