Drawing/editing programs
« on: September 01, 2013, 03:08:17 pm »
Hey guysss! I was really wondering what kind of drawing programs you guys use? See, I'm really bad at drawing with a mouse, and I realized that if I sketched digitally with a mouse it looks... WAAYYYY... better.  So I'm hoping for you to mention some free sketching programs that are like... really good. I'm so desperate. Please make sure they are free and can sketch! Please. Thanks guys! (I'm trying so bad not to spam. Oh and also, I know about GIMP and Paint Tool Sai, which are absolutely terrible for sketching. xD)

So what kind of programs do YOU use?

There are two programs that I know that are really amazing in drawing and also even making presets. First one I will mention is a program called GIMP . This program does have amazing tools and or multiple layers which is important if you wanna do actual coloring. I highly recomend Gmp since it's the ONLY Good high quality free program I know.

http://www.gimp.org/

The actual first program to have is Photoshop, but that you have to pay money or join in a membership Creative cloud to use there programs. Adobe products are used in the professional world and are the best, but they are for sure not free.
I Stalk from time to time...I have moved on to other things but do miss this place. Good times

Yeah, I've been using GIMP for 2-3 years now, and I'd say its brilliant for editing and making maps and stuff, but it's not what I'm looking for. x3

I don't know much about digital painting, but i've heard that Krita is a nice free program. But it is also known to be slow and full of glitches. And it will not run on Windows XP.

What I use is Gimp 2.8, but I have another program that's not as great on my computer called "Paint". Not paint tool SAI, but just Paint. But yeah, there's Paint tool SAI....
Also, there's this other good program called Fire Alpaca I watch my friend on a join.me draw on. It looks like a pretty good program to me, though Gimp 2.8 is still my suggestion for art since it's like Photoshop.

Hope this helped somewhat, and links? You can probably google for them... dunno if all of my suggestions are free, though!

EDIT: oh, XD yeah, try out fire alpaca then perhaps? :P
