As many floofs have stated above, some people can become AFK without warning. However, I find that if you sniff about, step out of your comfort zone and try to communicate with others (even if it ends up as a failure) you may find a new friend of two. Heck, you could even make a movie clip asking for a friend or someone to talk to. As long as you are polite and patient, you will be able to make friends easy!
stinky dog coming through, don't mind me!

I feel like nobody wants to talk to me. I feel like everybody either is talking to their friends or just hates me.
This happens alot, some people are like "Oh no someone is here, gotta run" and disconnect, they actually say that in chat.  It's not personal.
If you see me normally i'm not too busy so you can like type at me if you want.   Someone did that for about an hour and was like "Thanks for listening" was A.F.K. the whole time...
  You're welcome here.
The Japanese concept of wabisabi:
The closest concept in english would be 'rustic'
They might have an old thing, one example is a favourite bowl or dish, it's broken, pieces are missing, why fix it?  With gold and pieces from other dishes?
"Because it was my favourite & I like it"
