Site/Forum Help / "Necroing"

This isn't really a question as much as it's my curiosity. But it's been bothering me - kind of like an itch.

How old would a thread need to be for posting on it to count as necroing the topic?

I never really thought about it until now, but I would assume a month or two; But maybe my judgement is off by a bit. I'm asking this question just because I want to know the answer.
Any thoughts? Also, I would love it if a moderator answered this.

January 24th, 2202

It has been 164 years since World War III has ended, and nations have fallen appart. The war caused immense damage and destruction despite lasting about 5 hours. There are hardly any green trees left on the Earth, and each thing you eat and drink has the chance of giving you a disease. But other animals have survived the war as well, and they want food and water too. Most of the food can be found in populated run down cities; But be wary: Not every human loves seeing a dog or cat digging through their trash. Humans are now used to living in bad environments, so they know the territory; Inside and out. The only path to survival is to live off of whatever you find and gain others trust.
You have one goal; Stay alive.
Life or Death.

Dangers

Rats - Rats have become as large as an average house cat (even bigger) because of the radiation. More of a nuisance than a threat. But remember; They travel in groups of 4 - 6, and they can carry deadly diseases.

Cockroaches - Cockroaches are about the size of cats. They don't mind the sunlight and will often be encountered in well lit areas. Despite being weak, they often cause quite a scare for anyone, even animals.

Other Stray Dogs/Cats - Coming in contact with one of your own kind is the main concern when it comes to dealing with other enemies. Most dogs will attack on sight and others are weak and dying from disease. Cats can be a problem too, especially in groups of 2 or 3. Some may carry worms, or other infections illnesses. Others know the arts of stealth and can attack by surprise.

Diseases - Self explanatory; If one has a caught an illness, seek for the nearest clinic, the doctors there have certain drugs that can rid you of the sickness.

Thunder Storms - They seem harmless at first; Until a tree catches fire. Storms are an easy way to make forest fires happen.

Raiders - Men who travel the apocalyptic countryside in search of houses to raid, and kill whoever stands in their path. These men are different; They have no mercey, animal or man. Avoid at all costs.

Rules & Other Information

1. Hate the Character, not the User.
2. If you are going to be gone please say when.
3. No godmodding/powerplaying.
4. You must be atleast semi-literate so no one liners.
5. Try and keep the amount of males and females equal.
6. Violence/Gore is allowed.
7. Please, try to not use words such as brute, or masculine in your form for the gender;
Brute does not specify any gender at all and masculine is an adjective.
8. Mild Language is allowed; Just don't take it to the extreme. If you are not comfortable with language, simply don't join.
9. Have fun!

Specialized Skills

In this Role Play, you are able to choose the skill that your character is, well, skilled at.

Combat - You are a formidable opponent in battle and your lighting quick claws and teeth are able to go up against almost anything;
Useful when matched up against another stray dog or cat.

Stealth - You're better at sneaking around in the shadows and being light on your paws;
Useful when trying to move past an enemy undedected.

Stamina - You are able to fight longer and run further;
Useful when trying to escape and enemy that you cannot defeat.

Note - You can have two special skills (Ex. Stealth, Stamina)

Praise / Praise for Vespian (+Art)

Vespian deserves a huge praise.
He does so much for this community, it would never be the same without him. He's a very helpful paw to the here, and a lovely addition to the Mods. When I made a thread about returning to FeralHeart he made me feel welcomed back; It really got me back into the swing of things.
Also, just before I left, back in January, Vespian made an art request (Not sure if he forgot about it or not xD). After I left, I felt very guilty about not giving him (or anyone for that matter) a heads up. I decided to do it once I got back.

@Vespian: I'm not sure if you still want this but, here you go!

I have improved a lot between January and now, I'm quite pleased with the playfulish expression even though I was going for a sinister one. But I bet Vespian has a soft side somewhere :3 ~~Maybe he likes baby bunnies or something o3o~~. I had lots of fun with his fur and the handprint. I hope you like it<3

Ever do it?

I personally don't, although, my friends call me Krin most of the time. The thing is, they don't know the story behind it. Not even my best friend knows what FeralHeart is or why I love it. No one knows, and no one ever should know. So no, I don't really bring it up in conversation.

Discussion Board / Opinions About Modding your Games

When it comes to modding games, for me it's about what game it is and what the mod does.

For FeralHeart, I'm fine with modding like new music, HD textures, and all that :3 I love it.

Another game I have on my computer is Skyrim, and no, I don't particularly like modding it (Not including DLC, I love that stuff). The only mods I like are the ones that add new spells, or the one that makes children in the game non-essential (That sounds creepy but trust me, the kids in the game are so rude and annoying). I also don't like it when people mod Skyrim to look like a tropical wasteland. For me it ruins the feel of the game.

What games do you have on your PC, and would your want to mod them or no?

I'm back. And I should probably answer some questions...

No I wasn't busy. I got obsessed with other games. School wasn't the issue either, since I am now being homeschooled.

I came back because I was home sick :( I actually had a FeralHeart related dream the other night o3o

Anyway, filling me in on any new information would be lovely (Mod changes, etc.)

Also, hoping that none of my friends left while I was gone :S

So yeah, I guess I've decided to return after a while. I had to leave due to school and some computer issues.
The main reason I wanted to return was because I miss my floofy friends ;-;

So.. A random question that's bothered me for a while. When you sign up for a social media site (YouTube, deviantART, etc.) Why is there an option for other under gender..?
I mean... what is other?

Do you keep your FeralHeart business a secret from friends in real life?

Would you respond if someone called you by your fursona's name in real life?

Well, I don't bring it up. No one knows about my fursona (only two close friends), no one knows about me derping on the forums. Oh! All of this art of Ahkrin that was made by other people? Nope. Don't know that either. My school friends have no idea what fun life I have with FeralHeart

If someone were to call me Ahkrin or Starry in real life, say, shout it out in the hall way at school, I'd respond. Although, it would take a second to take in what just happened. I'd probably get creeped out knowing that someone know my fursona's name. Just slowly walk away for now. Save the difficult questions for later... yeah..

If there has already been a thread like this then please lock v.v
