Game Help / Cannot connect to server? [Solved]
« on: July 16, 2014, 09:03:42 pm »
I've tried everything. Restarting the game, restarting my computer, restarting my router, running game as admin, turned off my security software, etc. It's been 15 minutes since I've first received the message. I have no problem connecting to the site and other games.

Are we going through a reboot again, or...?

This thread is a work in progress. Please do not post yet.

2053.
Everything you have ever known has withered away into nothing. The entire planet has been wrecked with disease, famine, death; there is no possible way of it ever recovering, not in your lifetime. You hope that there are survivors out there. A part of you doesn't - everything and everyone has turned against you. No-one trusts anything. You were taught for a good portion of your life not to trust, and not to feel curiosity. To be numb and blind to the terrors around you. Where to hide, and where to stay. Never to go anywhere except "home." Unfortunately, your little corner of the world is being slowly torn apart by infection and corruption.
At least you had gotten through the beginning of it.
Now, here comes the worst part.

---

Welcome! This is a post-apocalyptic roleplay where you take on a role of an animal in a large city/urban area destroyed by the Infection. Please read the entire thread to understand it fully.
IMPORTANT! If you cannot download maps, presets, items or marking packs, this is not the roleplay for you.

-?- Rules -?-

1. All 'literacy' levels are accepted! We are here to enhance your role-playing skills, and will not focus on silly mistakes. However, please keep one-liners to a minimum, and do not write a novel! Refrain from using chatspeak as well.
2. God-modding, power-playing and mary-suing/gary-suing are behaviors that are often looked down upon and make roleplay unfair for others. Please refrain from doing this; you will be told if you are doing so, and asked to stop doing it.
4. Please make your character look realistic. This means no rainbow-colored or neon-colored animals.
4. Absolutely NO cyber-bullying, racist slurs, sexist slurs, swears, and descriptive mating. Please keep this roleplay kid-friendly.
5. Fun is a must!
6. IMPORTANT! Official roleplay days are Friday & Saturday, 3pm est/edt. Here is a timezone converter.
7. IMPORTANT! Other roleplays may be held at different times! However, if I am not there, they must be recorded in order to be added to the plot/recent. If you have a recorded roleplay (copy-pasted onto a document, using notepad or microsoft word) please post with it as an added attachment. If you do not submit them, they will go ignored!
8. If your character is infected, they do not get special powers! Unlike other infections, this one does not grant your character anything positive; they don't have super-speed, eagle-eyes, etc. Infact your character WILL SLOWLY DIE!
9. Please ask for permission from me for your character to be infected. If it is okay with both the infecter and infectee, go right ahead!
10. No more than 2 characters per player. If one of them has died, you are more than welcome to make another.
11. We do understand that there may or may not have been a zoo in the city. However, you may not play as a lion/wolf/bear WITHOUT PERMISSION. A limited number of wolfdogs are accepted. Please stick to domesticated animals; cats, dogs, etc.

-?- The Infection -?-

This disease is like no other. When your character has been infected, it will not be noticeable for a few days at the most and a few minutes at the least. It will begin with a weak mental breakdown; insomnia, paranoia, and hallucinations. Over the course of time it will brood in your character's body, causing symptoms of the flu, common cold, pneumonia, stroke, and seizure,  eventually rotting their organs to the point of death. It is shown through boils/blisters in the fur or skin, frothing at the mouth, and bloodshot eyes. If an infected is wounded, a frothy, thick, green substance will leak out (along with their blood). There is no known cure, and there is no way to escape it.
Symptoms usually last for about 15 days but some have lasted for up to 3 months.

There are three main to contract the infection. There are many more.
.1 Close contact with the infected
2. An infected has wounded a non-infected
3. Non-infected has drank from/eaten polluted substances

When an infected dies, they stay dead.
When a non-infected dies, they also stay dead.

-?- Operation Pharmacon -?-

Operation Pharmacon was the human's failed attempt at keeping the infection at bay. Pharmacon means poisonous medicine; scientists had started to develop a 'medicine' that cured the infected, but had unwillingly killed them at the same time. Unfortunately the humans had died out in the area before it was further developed, and now some of the animals in the city have taken over the operation and modified it so it could work as a functioning clan.
All in all, this is the roleplays 'main' group.

Laws of the Clan

1. Never doubt your leaders decisions.
2. Work is to be done without question nor complaining.
3. Curfew is 9pm (sunset). Any members of the clan found wandering past curfew will be punished.
4. Stay indoors at night.
5. Treason, betrayal, dishonesty, murder, and deception are acts that will lead to banishment or death.
6. Respect those above you.
7. Infected will be killed upon sight and will not be taken in.

Ranks

Leader. A self-explanatory rank; the one who makes the decisions. He/she has utmost power in the clan.
Commander. The one with the plan; he/she controls the clan if the leader is absent, and organizes (search/etc) parties.
Medic. One who knows various medical practices and procedures. Self-explanatory.
Kin. Those in the clan below the medic/commander/leader; the meat of the clan, and those who go out in parties and such.
Omega. The scapegoat. The one in the clan whom has committed a crime. Depending on the severity of the crime he/she may be banished from the clan temporarily or permanently. They must work their way up to their previous rank.

Species / Canis Equus [Open!]
« on: July 12, 2014, 12:31:03 am »
can?? eq???

:[:In A Nutshell:]:
---
Canis Equus are an entire new species of their own - an obvious hybrid of canine and equine. Their bottom half is equine whilst there top half is canine. Contrary to popular belief, these beasts cannot be tamed - and, depending on their suborder, can be dangerous to humans. Canis Equus are an extremely hostile specie, no matter their subspecies. They are omnivorous, eating both plants and meat. As of now, there is only 1 known subspecie of Canis Equus - however, any combination of canine and equine is possible.

To humans, it is unknown how the species came to be. Had a mad scientist lost himself in a cloning lab?

---

Misc notes

They go by the terminology of horses, at each age.
Male - Stallion, of 3 yrs/older
Female - Mare, of 3yrs/older
Foal - Young stallion/mare, under 1 yr
Colt - Male, under 3yrs
Filly - Female, under 3yrs

It is NOT normal nor acceptable for a Canid to couple with another outside of their tribe.

Breeding

Depending on the Canid themself, breeding can come with different reactions. It is natural for them to mate for life, devoted to one being but they can be seen as polygamous. It is common to see many different sexual orientations and sexual preferences in one tribe, but they all boil down to the Canid themself.
However, same-sex/etc couples cannot bear foals. At all. It is not possible for them, an orange and an orange don't make an apple. Transgender couples may have foals, so long as logic applies.

---

:[:Really simple rules sorry:]:
1. Please tell me if you have created a Canis Equus. I don't want to see one running around without my permission, no. If you have, please be active with it. You can create a Canis Equus that is not involved with any groups. I don't care, have one rolling around in Bonfire for God's sake.
2. Create the right thing. Please don't have a neon rainbow Canis Equus derping around. That is not the correct species. If you think their is a problem with your character, just ask.
3. No crossbreeding. No Canis Equus breeding with any kind of wolf, lion, bear, whatever. Subspecie, however, ARE allowed to crossbreed. But please refrain from doing that as it saves my poor typed-out hands ;-; - subspecie breeding will result in a crossbred (name here), and will be added to the list.
4. If you would like, you can apply your Canis Equus to the corresponding tribe. (W.I.P.)

:[:Draught/Draft Canids:]:
These are the most common subspecie of Canis Equus, inhabiting large mountain ranges with thick forests and soft meadows. They are built for the cold, dry tundra and rocky slopes. They are extremely large, males coming up to about 6ft to the shoulder and females about 5ft. They easily weigh in about 1,000lb to 2,000 lb. The upper half of their body is canid, with sharp incisors, bear-like paws, and a thick neck; their lower half is equid, with strong legs and broad hooves. They are recognized for their tall stature and muscular build. Shortened name - draughts or drafts

:[:Behavior:]:

Draught canids mostly act like wolves, forming packs with strong social bonds and an alpha-omega ranking system. They are lead by the most dominant male and his mate, and they work together as a 'pack' when on hunting missions. However, they are not built for taking down their prey (as ambitious as they can get) so most of the time they lounge around in their territory, on open meadows or in the shade of trees. They graze more often than not.
They are more intelligent than meets the eye; they form an extremely intracate hierarchy system, but it can be comparible to tribes -  the most dominant of the bunch leads them, most likely recognized as a chief or a matriarch. The lesser dominant draughts form small cults, and go by gatherers or hunters, warriors, mothers...etc. They can live in small camps from time to time; however, they are most likely nomadic hunter-gatherers, whom follow their food. They can be as intelligent as humans from time to time, as they are capable of logic, emotion and speech.
One Draught can speak for themself and have their own opinions, morals, etc.

:[:Diet:]:

Draughts are omnivorous, and will eat anything they can find - they prey mostly on large game such as elk or deer. They cannot hunt small game, as it is too quick for them. Draughts do not have nearly enough stamina nor speed to hunt a pronghorn zipping across a valley at 60mph. However, they can and will eat other canines and felines. As long as other predators are smaller than them and easy to catch, they will hunt them down and eat them! Some Draughts have even been seen chasing down wolves and cougars.
If they cannot hunt, they will take to grazing and browsing. They'll eat berries, even if they're 'poisonous'.
Draughts have a very keen bacteria in their digestive systems. It will break down harmful poisons that would otherwise kill any other living thing, but if there is a shortage in this bacteria or the Draught themself is sick, the bacteria will not work.
As said above, they take to hunter-gatherer customs and will bring back kills and gathered consumables back to wherever the tribe/pack has called home.

Some Draughts, if in dire situations, may turn to cannibalism even though it is taboo. They may even turn to hunting wolves (+ pups).
However, this does not mean that eating a wolf is cannibalism - they are two different species.

:[:Breeding:]:

Draughts normally enter sexual maturity around 3 years of age. Any time before hand can be described as puberty. When they have reached sexual maturity, it is normal for them to choose a partner - but again, they can do as they wish.

Females enter estrus for about 20-30 days in the late autumn. Any other time, they are anestrus and cannot bear foals.
Gestation lasts for about 170-180 days, an average range of about 150-190 days. This is about 5 1/2 months. When the female is ready to give birth, she will find a place away from the tribe and may even dig out a den (however, it would be rarely used!) It usually results as one foal, but twins are born in about 1/4 pregnancies. When foals have been born, both male and female Draught will be very hostile to others that get so much as a hair on their offspring.
The foals act very much like horse foals, and are able to stand a short time after birth. However, their ears and eyes do not open until their 5th day, so it is rare for mothers to return to the tribe immediately. Foals are weaned from their mother's milk at around 1 yr. Foals grow slowly, but much faster than a human.

---

:[:Arabian Canids:]:

Arabian Canids are a hybrid of Arabian horse and the little-known Arabian wolf. Built for speed and stamina, they are quite the contrast to Draughts. They have a very lithe, fluid frame no matter what gender and are genuinely smaller than a Draught. However, this does not make then any less intelligent. Stallions stand at about 5'8, whilst mares stand at about 5'0. They weigh in closely to 800lb. Their coat is short and thin with the usual sandy tone or colors such as bay, gray and chestnut. Arabian Canids are built to survive in the desert and savannah - they will not survive in extremely cold environments.
Their shortened name is Arab or Arabian.

:[:Behavior:]:

Unlike a Draught, Arabians do not form large packs nor do they operate like one. They stick in small groups of about 3 or 4, although some have been seen in groups of 12. Instead of an alpha-omega ranking system they act all as one. In an Arabian group, nobody has more power over another, and this is the most effective strategy in the desert. If the population of a group has grown too much, some members will split off into separate groups. However this does not stop them from forming tribes in other regions!

Arabians are less vicious than their cousin, but they can be just as territorial. A group of Arabians hold a very small territory, but are very protective of it and will not let any other Arabian into their group (without exceptions.) They form incredibly tight social bonds.

:[:Diet:]:

Arabians are omnivorous. However, due to the lack of plants in their natural habitat, they will hunt game smaller than a deer; sometimes they will turn to carrion if need be. Plants are a delicacy in their eyes, and is like chocolate to them. Plants are to be shared equally within groups, but are only given to the leader/high-ranking in tribes.
Groups work together to bring down prey and they are nomadic.

:[:Breeding:]:

Arabians enter sexual maturity around 2 yrs, some entering around 2 1/2 yrs.
Females enter estrus for about 15-25 days in early spring or late summer. As said before, they are in anestrus any other time and cannot bear foals. Gestation lasts for about 100-115 days, around 3 1/2 months. Arabians bear their children in their group (but may leave as wished). They normally have 2 foals per birth, triplets occur in about 1/8 pregnancies. Arabian parents are very open to others in their group around their children, but are extremely hostile to strangers.
The foals, again, are like horse foals and are able to stand within a few hours of birth. However, their ears/eyes do not open until their 3rd day. Foals are weaned at about 7-8 months.

lame title, excuse me X)
Hello, and welcome to Cracking Forest! We must all band together before our home is torn apart by an unknown force...and, of course, we're always accepting (unless we say we're not) new members. Any living thing is welcome here...
as long as you can survive.
|||What's going on here?|||
As far as we can know, the Ancients have lived here for as long as we have. In paintings on the walls of the Sacred Caves, there is a tale of two wolves; Ignis and Ros, the Gods of Fire and Water. They say that their lands were peaceful, devoid of conflicts and bountiful with prey. In a small valley, they found a system of caves, where they met often. Other times, when they were apart, they played with their powers to freeform the land; Ros could move rivers and shape them, create entire lakes with a sweep of his tail, and also create devastating tsunamis and floods. Ignis, however, had complete control of fire and lava. He could create volcanoes, shape mountains, and also take away land. Most of the time, he burned down forests whole, and back then there were few fire-proof seeds.
This led to their first conflict.
Ros didn't appreciate how Ignis destroyed peaceful settings, and Ignis disliked how powerful Ros had become. Ignis, unfortunately, wanted complete control of the land; he thought of it as his own personal sandbox. The two fought for some time, destroying the land until the two grew exhausted. They did not realize that they had limited powers. The land before them was draught with famine, disease and void of life.
Ros and Ignis eventually made a pact, and with time, Ros had given birth to two twins, Nebula and Halitus. They passed on their powers, and Nebula and Halitus were inseparable. They took care of the land until it grew into a prospering forest. Animals from other lands were seemingly drawn to this place, and with that, the land grew and grew into a more beautiful place. Nebula, Halitus, and the spirits of Ros and Ignis were satisfied with their creation.
Time passed.
Now, the forest has been owned by many, many animals, and some even believe in their spiritual ancestors. Yes; bears, coyotes, foxes, deer, and others were shared special powers. Only few of them today bear them, as many are starting to dislike the Gods. Why did they come here? They brought conflict, of course; conflict is bad, very bad. You can hear defiant whispers from all around if you sit quietly and listen deeply.
However, the defiance to the Gods is not the only conflict...many shamans have sensed that the Earth is angry, and is swelling up with anger so powerful that it will crack in two. Many animals do not believe this, but the Earth is indeed lying in wait.
Just seconds ago, the wolves of the Calidus pack have seen a crack bearing a violet gem appear between the ancient resting places of Ros and Ignis.

TLDR VERSION: The Gods Ros and Ignis have birthed a new land. Their children are now defying them, and the Earth itself will eventually crack out of anger.

|||What's happening Now|||

The land is peaceful and there is little conflict. Life prospers in the early months of Spring. There is much rainfall, and so there are some bouts of overflowing rivers and slight flooding. However, the land has been subject to natural disasters before; there are volcanoes to the southeast near the Outlands, and the Smoking Lake is ever growing and sinking. The Dormant volcano is beginning to show signs of activity.
Matias, the Calidus' pack leader, has recently moved in and claimed the empty lands. Here, he has found remains of a long forgotten pack and is deeply curious. Little does he know, that he is not alone. Other animals will (hopefully) join him. Matias grows weary with the layout of the land; he does not appreciate the dangerous, lava-spewing volcanoes and the growing lake. The camp is close to the lake, and he is afraid that it will, someday, engulf it whole.

|||Rules and Regulations|||
1] BE RESPECTFUL. No OOC drama, and remember that there is a person behind the screen.
2] NO MARY-SUES/GARY-SUES. And the like. I know we are an unrealistic roleplay with magic and gods, but this is unfair. This goes along with powerplaying, insta-kills, godmodding, and the like.
3] NO SWEARING. Sorry, but it's looked down upon in many households and you don't know if somebody's mother is looking over their shoulder.
4] GORE. It's allowed up to a medium; blood, guts, and glory, go for it, but don't go so far you tumble off the board.
5] LIMITS. You may only have up to 2 characters, only 3 if we believe you can handle it. Remember, you have to roleplay ALL of them equally.
6] magic word is potato buns
7] ROLEPLAYING DAY is Saturday, from 6pm EST - 8pm EST. Here is a timezone converter. If you think you can't make it, let us know ASAP.
8] NO NEON COLORS. I understand that is is in a semi-realistic setting, but that doesn't mean that you can go crazy with neon colors. This means you have to be at least SEMI-realistic...animals that have ties to the Gods have faint colorful markings, and if you want, they can glow in certain situations but please make your character look semi-realistic. That means use natural browns, golds, greys, blacks, off-whites and any other color that pertains to your animal. Eyes, go crazy.
9] MINIMUM POST LENGTH IS 2 SENTENCES. Please keep your post around 2-3 sentences at the shortest, and have decent grammar, punctuation and spelling. However, don't write a novel when posting, and don't drag things out.
GOOD LONG EXAMPLE: The wind sang in the trees over [name]'s head, casting spots of sunlight to dribble down to the forest floor. The valley had been irregularly peaceful that day; it seemed too peaceful, and it threw [name] into a state of worry. 'What if the Gods have turned on us?' they thought as they padded around mindlessly.
Approaching a small stream, they gave a few laps to the fresh clear water. They looked up sharply and saw [name2]'s dark figure. "Erm, uh...hello!" they greeted.
GOOD SHORT EXAMPLE: [name] circled [name2], snapping and growling. "You have trespassed, outcast. You know the punishment," they snarled.

BAD LONG EXAMPLE: the wnd sang in the tres peicefully over [name]s head sending sunlight down. the valley was good today and it was odd. it freaked [name] out a little. "what if the gods dont like us anymore" they thought galloping around
they went to a stream and drank from it. they saw [name2]s figure that was dark and they said "hello"
BAD SHORT EXAMPLE: [name] moved around [name2] and said "u tresspassed out cast u no the punishmen" attacks [name2] and kills them with a swift bite to the throat

10] BREAKING OF THE RULES WILL RESULT IN WARNINGS THE FIRST TIME, SUSPENSION FROM ROLEPLAY FOR 3 DAYS THE SECOND, AND KICKS THE 3RD. If you say something hurtful to another player OOCly, it is an automatic, permanent kick. Fighting is not allowed. Be positive, people.

|||CALIDUS PACK RULES|||
1] NO MATING IN 'PUBLIC' AREAS. People...really, really wouldn't want to see that in real life, so why would you do the nasty in public in a game? Roleplay it out if you must in whisper. Be careful.
2] BE RESPECTFUL OF LEADERS. They get you out of trouble (most of the time) and they...well, they lead you. Plain and simple.
3] GO AHEAD AND MATE WITH WHOEVER YOU WANT. As long as they are your species, it's fine. Mating with outcasts, however, is prohibited and if you really want to do that, we'll make you an outcast.
4] CONFLICT IS A NO-NO. We appreciate playfighting and sparring but try to be respectful of your packmates and...don't try to kill them. Just...don't.
5] BETRAYAL/BREAKING THE RULES. Normally around extra chores if it's something small, but can even be punishable by outcastation or death. (Either way, the bad way is death.) Do not break the rules on purpose, because we'll remember them forever and it won't end well.
6] TIME. 3 weeks is equivalent to 1 month, and 36 weeks is equivalent to a year. Pretty weird, I know.
7] WOLVES ARE NOT THE ONLY ONES HERE. Yes, sometimes the pack will accept different species if they are in dire need of help.

|||CALIDUS PACK RANKINGS|||
Generally the normal ranking system for a wolfpack.

ALPHA] Male, female/ect. The leaders of the pack, whom bear the children. They must have some tie with Ros and Ignis, therefore must have slight spiritual powers.
BETA] Normally male, but in some situations female. Normally related to an Alpha, and if they are trustworthy they are this rank. Very, very slim chances that they will be allowed to bear children, and run the pack if the Alphas are out.
SHAMAN] The most spiritual wolf in the pack, they often have dreams about or hear whispers from The Gods. Heavily respected, and most likely elderly.
SUBORDINATES] The hunters, healers, warriors, scouts, and the like. The baseboard of the pack, they perform most of the tasks to benefit it. Laziness in this rank is a wrongdoing.
-Hunter: Self-explanatory; hunts down food for the pack.
-Healers: Take care of the wounded or sick, and also bring in lonesome wolves to be checked for disease. Know a great variety of herbs and the like.
-Warriors: Protect the pact if conflict between groups arises.
-Scouts: Mark borders and patrol borders, and will sometimes venture into other territories on stealth-missions. Need to be quick and lithe.
-Pupbearers: Mothers, whom either have granted the wish of children by the Alphas, they are an Alpha themself, or are taken in from the valley to care for them. After they have birthed their children and have nursed them and
TRAINEES] Pups over the age of 6 months, whom are now adolescent and ready to learn from the master list of ranks.
PUPS] Children of the pack. Under 6 months, and require special attention.
ELDER] Respected wolves that will never leave our memories when they pass away.
SCAPEGOAT] The wolf that is blamed for the wrongdoings, mistakes, or faults of others. The bullied one in the pack, but cannot be severely harmed or killed. If they wish, they can become a loner or rogue and leave the pack; however, they are still allowed in the Valley. They can only be severely harmed if a healer is going through the Convocation process.
OUTCAST] Those who have been kicked out of the pack; they have either broken rules harshly, or have done something drastically wrong.
LONER] A lone wolf. Plain and simple.
ROGUE] A lone wolf, quite different from a Loner as these wolves are more violent, dishonest and unprincipled. The "Bad Guys" in a sense.

Subordinates
Hunter: Trained in areas of taking down game; how to strike, where to strike, hunting formations, and hunting strategies. Taught on how sensitive game can be, and how to use the wind and shadows to their advantage.
Healers: Trained in anatomy, medicinal herbs, pastes, remedies and strategies. Learns about the advantages and disadvantages of certain herbs, when and how to use them, how to apply them, and how long they should be on it. Also learn about bones, how to fix them through casts.
Warriors: Taught in areas of defense and offense. Taught how to deal strikes to another, where to strike, and defense/offense strategies.
Scout: Taught how to be stealthy and fast.

|||"RELIGIOUS" PRACTICES|||
[screenshot]
Since there are "gods" in this roleplay...
Most practices are held in The Caves, and must be quick and hasty.
If they are not, they take place in the middle of the valley where there is a small isle in the middle of the pond. It's neutral, so no one is allowed to fight here.

Birth - After a mother has recovered from birthing, the pack will take each of her cubs to the Caves, if allowed by the mother. They check them to see if they have any powers, and if they do and it is related to Ros, they dip them in Ros' spring. If  they do and they are related to Ignis, they are placed close to or sometimes IN Ignis' harmless bonfire. They also get their paw dipped in holly berry paste and their pawprint goes on the wall.
Death - After a packmate is deemed deceased, their body is carried to the Caves where they are placed in Ros' or Ignis' spiritual motif and they are either rejected by them, or they are accepted by them and they fade. Rejections only happen if the packmate has done something drearily wrong, such as heavily lying or breaking rules. Their pawprint can easily be wiped away, but is smeared.
Adolescence - When a pup reaches 6 months and their mother has deemed them fit, pups go through the process of picking which rank they wish to be. They can only choose a subordinate rank, unless they are children of the Alphas (they are trained in areas of leadership; humbleness, defense, values, generosity and the like.) When they have picked their rank, they are sent to the Caves and their larger pawprint is pressed into blackberry paste and is right next to their pup pawprint. There is also a task they have to do first, and is up to the Alphas. It may be sitting in one place overnight quietly, or it may just be a chore. They are a 'Trainee' after this.
Convocation - When a trainee is of 1 1/2 years of age or the Alphas and packmates say that they are ready to, trainees become the rank that they have wanted. Children of the Alphas either become special subordinates, and the most dominant one becomes the Beta. The Beta, then, most likely becomes the scapegoat or a subordinate. Their final pawprint on the cave wall is dipped in unripened juneberry paste and they take a walk through all territories of the Outlands alone.

Test of Convocation
After their task, the new subordinates must go through a test, special for their rank.

Hunter: Hunt down 10 large game and 25 small game over a week.
*Healer: Perform surgery/ect on the severely wounded Scapegoat and help them make a full recovery.
Warrior: Win a fight between them and their teacher, with supervision.
Scout: Successfully venture into another territory and come back alive.

*Special, the only time that the Scapegoat will be severely wounded.

Failure to pass Convocation will result in further training and a 5-month wait before they can try again. If they fail 3 times, they are kicked out of the pack.

Game Discussion / What is your favorite place/map?
« on: January 07, 2014, 06:03:31 pm »
Okay, let's all take a break from the posts about power-players and role-players that don't know anything about role-playing. . .

What is your favorite place in Feralheart?
I'm bored, so I have to ask this question. c8

My favorite place has to be Fluorite Plains, not because there are so many role-plays to join there, it's because it's so large. Although I'm going to piggyback on some of these threads; it's kind of a setback when someone decides to walk up to you, scream in the chat, 'you're! in! my! territory!'. But anyways, Fluorite is just a fun map to explore ^u^ Sometimes you'll see a role-play that you want to join here and there, but I'm in for it for the exploring.

No, this is not a preset shop.
No, I do not take requests.
No, I do not trade.
No, I do not take commissions.
I may do these for gifts, but that doesn't mean 'get all sugary sweet with me so I can make you one'.

Thank you.

Korun preset; scars on right side - blind eye [messing around with different side textures]

WELCOME!
Your paws ached as you trailed the rocky terrain. You had been walking for hours; the vast forest in front of you never seemed to stop. Trees bowed down to an icy wind, causing your fur to ruffle every-which way until you caught scent of an unfamiliar; the wolf. Stopping in your tracks, you debated whether or not to continue, but your plans were cut short by a dark figure standing not too far from you.
"Why be your presence here?" His words were short and quick. He obviously didn't want to see you around, whether he was rogue or not.
"I am looking for somewhere to stay." you reply, paws chafing against the ground awkwardly as you stumbled back a few steps when he popped out of nowhere.
He limped forward a bit, scars heavily flanking his right side and eye. He had to be very, very old and grumpy.
"There is no place for you here. Be gone," he snarled, lips pulling back to expose very sharp and deadly canines. Suddenly, as if someone had slapped him in the face, he paused, emotionless. "You must come with me. Now!" he barked, galloping away daintily. You quickly followed after him into a small cave filled with treasures; the antlers of a red deer, a skin of a rather large rabbit and then suddenly various bone necklaces and bracelets, maybe a painted skull mask here and there.
"They will make sure you die," he said coldly.
"Who?"
"Them," he whispered, pointing to a clowder of cougars that paced back and forth, growling and snapping at one another.
"Are you sure that you smelt someone over here?!" screeched one of them, only to be spat at by another.
"Yes, I'm sure! You can smell it, too!"

"They make sure that no one else is in this land. My scars are the only memories of what they have done, and they will do the same to you." he chilled. "By the way, my name is Korun."
"You must stay with me for the rest of the day. Now, let's talk and figure out why you're here."

[Everdale is a roleplay that takes place in the Northern Rockies, NA. You must be literate and your character has to be realistic in order to join. However, your character can be a wolf, bear, coyote, bobcat, or whatever your imagination wants to be as long as it is native to the Rockies.]
SO LET'S HAVE SOME FUN SHALL WE?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

RULES!
Alright, I know I wrote a novel but lets get onto the rules!

1. NO CYBERBULLYING. Not only is it against the rules of FH, it also makes you look like a big jerk. If I catch you, it's not going to be fun for your IP address.

2. NO CUSSING. This game was meant for users of all ages. If you really need to cuss, then censor it out. This also counts for racial slurs.

3. ROLEPLAY DAYS ARE FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. This is uber important!! If you cannot make it, then say so please. They usually take place around 4:30 PM EST. Here is a timezone converter.

4. NO DRAMA. Period.

5. BE NICE. I swear to god if I catch you being rude to someone... this also pairs up with the cyberbullying rule.

6. YOU MUST ONLY BE IN 2 OTHER ROLEPLAYS. There is a limit to ensure that everyone is involved / ect.

7. GENERAL CHAT IS FOR LOLS, not roleplay. GROUP CHAT is for OOC talk between your group. LOCAL is for IC roleplay. WHISPER is not used to spread rumors around and is to roleplay out things that should not be said.

8. YOUR POSTS MUST BE NO LESS THAN 3 SENTENCES. No, they cannot be baby sentences either. This is a LITERATE roleplay. If you don't want to type up atleast 30 words per post, then this is not the roleplay for you.

8. HAVE FUN!! If you joined this roleplay to have no fun... I don't know what's wrong with you. 8|

Roleplay Rules

7. NO DESCRIPTIVE MATING. It's disgusting. Roleplay out the nasty if you want, but do it in whisper and away from everyone else. And guys, please don't zoom in on them with F3 because that makes you look like a huge pervert.

8. ABSOLUTELY NO G-MODDING, MARY SUES OR GARY SUES. Oh my god, you don't know how many times I've seen these characters joining my roleplays and then recking havoc, causing the entire thing to crash even though this was specified in the rules. Seriously, don't do it because I WILL KICK YOU OUT OF THE RP. If you don't understand, go here; clickie!!

9. IF YOU ARE IN A GROUP, please listen to your leaders. This roleplay is shared by 3 groups. They [should] know what to do next.

11. PLEASE GO IN ORDER WITH POSTING. If you don't people will get confused and it will cause some IC actions to be 'ignored'.

12. SHARE THE MAP. None of it is yours, because it is all MINE. Territory disputes occur naturally within groups but don't take it personally. Follow the rules of nature as well; if you are a rogue, you will rarely enter another territory unless you want to look for a mate, join a group, or purposely hunt or trespass for the sake of IC drama. But remember that I OWN that map. Don't claim anything as your own OOC.

13. IC DRAMA IS IC. Do not take anything personally because they are not directing it at YOU, they are directing it at YOUR CHARACTER. Don't take IC drama into OOC, too, please because that breaks rules #1, 4 + 5. Do you see why I over-exaggerate them?

14. NO UN-NATURAL ITEMS! This also cooperates with the fact that this roleplay is REALISTIC. No knives, clothing, eyewear, ect. Jewelry, antlers and possible skull masks are exceptions. [Bone necklaces/bracelets, maybe your character is a deer or they wear the antlers of their first kill, skull masks are just a thing that fits in.] If anything else you must have a VALID REASON.

15. A list of your characters vitals [Physical health, emotional health, mental health] and how they are [currently] is a nice thing to have in your characters biography so you don't have to type 'The wounded ----- limped on it's left front leg where blood rushed out of the fresh wound because of...'

16. NO 'ABANDONED' PUPS/CUBS/ECT. I don't care if your character has been abandoned there by their' parents. In real life, THEY WOULDN'T LAST FIVE MINUTES with wolves and cougars around. Your character MUST be atleast 8 MONTHS OLD [when most species began to grow and change into young adults]. IF IT CANNOT TAKE CARE OF ITSELF BY THEN, it must find a MOMMA or DADDA that is the same species in no less than 3 REAL LIFE DAYS. And they cannot teach themselves; it must learn by it's BIOLOGICAL or ADOPTIVE parent/gaurdian.

IF YOU HAVE READ THE RULES, WHAT NUMBER IS MISSING OUT OF ORDER AND WHAT NUMBER IS DOUBLED?
And don't scroll down and copy it off of someone else's app, okay? I will know.

FULL NAME- Korun
ALIAS- Ko? None.
AGE- Old; approx. 8 1/2 years.
GENDER- Male
SPECIES- Grey wolf [Red wolf traits]
SEXUALITY- Heterosexual
FAMILY- Parents are long forgotten; children have moved away and mate has passed. No siblings known.
PERSONALITY- Korun is an impolite, brash and cunning old fellow. He is very wise, although; living in the two valleys has aged him over so that he knows every turn of the next stone and what to avoid. He is often down in the dumps when everyone else is celebrating, but he has grown used to this. Not speaking to another one in ages, it has worn down on his sanity so he might seem skeptical about everyone and everything, but he truly wants to do them good. Inside the shell he is actually very gentle, caring and playful; even youthful at some points. But to those around him he is rude and feisty, much like your tall-tale Scrooge.
HISTORY- He grew up with his parents as a single child, yada-yada. He moved out in search of a mate, yada-yada. He found one, had a few children, then they carried on. One day, his mate passed and he was all alone until cougars viciously attacked him, blaming him for their' own problems. The day is still remembered via scars and a single blinded eye. Since then, few cougars remain in the park but among the humans there is talk of re-introducing select species.
