I agree with every fiber of my being.
Now I'm fairly inactive, and I have never personally witnessed this, I do find this to be a problem that people do this at all. I have experienced this somewhat in my past though. I first joined Feral-Heart when I was 11, and I wasn't too shabby at roleplaying, but I wasn't good either. I would try to start conversations with people in Flourite, but most either ignored me, or shot down my opinions, rather rudely. It seemed the only place I could make friends was in Bonfire, so that's where I had spent most of my time in the past. Don't get me wrong, I have met some amazing people there, and had some memorable experiences. I agree wholeheartedly with the neighborhood analogy. As I started to reach out into Flourite, and join roleplays, I really didn't meet people like that again. I'm thinking I just had some bad luck that day. Recently, I haven't really seen people like that, but it saddens me to know that this supposedly welcome community has some bad apples.
