Set in its own fantasy-based realm referred to as Balthazar, a large syncretism of dogs within the realm have come together to form its own working civilization. In the light of differences, they came together; by doing so they have allowed themselves to advance as a species.

Thus, through the perspective of various and intricate dog species designed, come and explore the vastness and uniqueness as it has been beautiful developed to hone its own originality.

“Plotted” Roleplay Groups

Hello everyone!

My name is Niraash, but you can also refer to me as “Cecilia” as that is the name of my ‘Main Character’ that I use on Feral Heart.

But anyway, let’s cut to the chase: What’s the deal with the “plotted” groups on Feral Heart these days?

I have seen a lot of roleplay groups come and go, many of them Plotted these days. However, I can almost guarantee you [and of course there are exceptions] that most of the time it isn’t as “plotted” as you think, but rather, lore based. However, it seems as though when I join these groups with “plots” there is really no active story going on within the roleplay; resulting in dry and basic role plays most of the time.

For example → A typical “plot” that I see…

There is a natural disaster that has severely reduced the population into nothing. The abundance of prey has decreased due to the lack of vegetation present. Thus Alpha [Insert name here] has taken it upon his/herself to lead the remaining canines into, what could be, eventual prosperity.

Another example...

Two packs or tribes are at war with each other. Choose your side.

Or something along those lines...

Either way, these are the typical plots you see roaming around Feral Heart now. However, I will not deny that there are some groups who are really enthusiastic in pushing forward in plot advancement. Others? Not so much. I believe a plotted roleplay group must consist of ‘chapters’ or content being actively developed within the group as it proceeds through its own story; no matter how quickly or slowly the group may advance. Usually, groups simply have a group and occasionally reference back to the main theme of the group, but other than that, nothing much.

Thus, leading to my conclusion:

Lore Based Groups vs. Plot Based Groups

A lore based group → A general history or theme that the group is based on; with occasional references throughout roleplay. [which is a lot groups these days]

A plot based group → a roleplay with actual plot advancement, from beginning to end.

I suppose you can say that when I join a group and it's plotted, I expect that there is a genuine plot there is to follow or adhere to.

Arcanus Canum is a canine custom-species, created by our Founder [Feral Heart User; Niraash].
Thus, upon joining, it is should be expected that character creativity will be restricted, but only to a certain extent!
We hope to leave as many options as possible available to our members in regards to creating their character.

L I T E R A T E

Arcanus Canum is a literate canine roleplay, thus, we will be requiring a roleplay sample during our application process.
We strive to provide adequate roleplay to those who wish to genuinely immerse and commit themselves.
However, fret not, we cordially open our doors to those wishing to improve themselves in a roleplay setting.

Although, how literate are we talking?

Arcanus Canum requires at least four sentences, in game, that includes proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
Regarding on the discord, there is never a set code (verbally, at least) as to how many sentences or paragraphs are required.
We just hope that our roleplayers are descriptive with their actions throughout roleplay.

R E A L I S T I C

Arcanus Canum is a realistic to semi-realstic canine roleplay.
Thus, though the pelt colors are required to be realistic, there are some semi-realistic colors/designs that are welcomed.

Regarding behaviors, behaviors are rather realistic within the group.

B E A U T I F U L Y - D E V E L O P E D

Arcanus Canum is a plotted roleplay, which is inclusively member-driven.
It includes an fresh and original plot-line and have certain systems to help members engage in roleplay and, hopefully, enjoy it.

Arcanus Canum is set in a fantasy-like prehistoric era.

D I S C O R D - B A S E D

Arcanus Canum is a discord-based (for the most part) roleplay.
Thus, you can immediately assume the discord is required for membership within this group.
However, we do not limit ourselves to just our discord server. An in-game option is available, but not required.

F A M I L Y - O R I E N T E D

Arcanus Canum is a family-oriented group both in-character and out-of-character.
Posing as a tribal group, we hope to become a wonderufl community which sustains its members and strives to have
quality staff to support you along the way.

We also hope that we become a group that you can always count on, regarding both activity and support.

M A T U R E

Arcanus Canum comes with occasional mature topics that is not meant for everyone.
Although it is not on the severe side that some groups might lean towards, we hope to moderate the content that
comes out before anyone is offended. Offensive content is dealt with as soon as possible as we care for the group as whole.

Hiya loves, I don't usually post on the forums (very rarely, that is), although, I do occasionally roam the forums often; especially since I've been a bit more active regarding in-game Feral Heart.

Especially with the game servers down [how unfortunate

], my craving for roleplay has gone up significantly as one can focus for so long on school work.

Thus, I'm reaching out to my fellow Feral Heart community in hopes to search for a possible active canine roleplay. I hope to surround myself with people who love to roleplay, as much as myself, despite no in-game interaction. I would like to consider myself an adequate literate roleplayer. ^^

However, I am also open to creating a group as well, if anyone else is interested and is willing to put as much time and effort to help everyone (and myself) get through this quarantine.
