Game Help / Start Screen Glitch

When I enter the game, on the character creation and selection screen I'm faced with a pure white background and an off-centre title. Any ideas on how to fix this?

« on: July 11, 2017, 11:29:40 pm »You could try changing your rendering subsystem from Direct3D9 to OpenGL and vice versa (if you are on OpenGL, switch to Direct3D9).
To change your rendering subsystem, look here. About halfway down that post, it should give you some information on the two different methods to go about changing it. You can change it through the Options menu or through the ogre.cfg. Since your game is crashing, it might be in your best interest to change it through the ogre.cfg file. That post will explain both methods, but if you need help, feel free to continue asking us in this thread.

They'll appear as particle_0 or particle_1.
I already have, I remember that being a problem before, but thats also not the case.

Hey there, I've only just downloaded the new game since ive not played for a while but now every time i start it, the game stops responding and im not sure how to fix it anymore.

« on: September 25, 2014, 12:42:06 am »Im sorry to jump in the tracks and completely throw you all of this raging subject. But it's only a character. If someone wants to /Properly/ play a suicidal character in a role-play then fine, so be it. It add's a little more drama into the role-play and sometimes it's actually fun to see how different people reach to, or how different people portray their characters. If someone wants to kill their character fine, It's theirs to do so with. This is exactly the same if you want your character to be a cannibalistic murderer. At the end of the day, it's yours to do with.
Lets not forgot suicide isn't a 'new' thing. It's happened for thousands of years, it's just not something that has been published as much as it is today. If someones is actually doing to do it, In real life, then you won't be able to stop them.
I understand some people are sensitive with some subjects like suicide or rape or abuse. But honestly, ( I'm so sorry if it makes me sound like a horrible person ) But if you don't like seeing it. Don't look. Don't be sensitive and get effected by it. You cant stop it, so just get on with it.
I've been through my own problems, some of the closest people here may know this. I just get on with. I suck it up and deal with it. I dont get offended, or get sensitive, I just think it's stupid.
