This a thread dedicated to animals that are misunderstood, underrated, unloved, undeservedly hated, or unpopular. If you can think of an animal that is any of those things, feel free to share and perhaps talk about that animal.

I'll start with a few.


Sharks (like this Great White).


Hyenas (like this Spotted Hyena)


Vultures and condors (like this California Condor).

And remember, this is a thread for animals that normally don't get to be in the spotlight, so please, NO WOLVES (unless they are an obscure subspecies) or cats (again, unless they are an obscure subspecies).

I just finished reading one of the coolest xenofiction (talking animal) novels ever.


Here's the premise given on the back of the book:

When I try to explain this book to people, I often use these comparisons.

It's like Lord of the Rings...with cats.
It's like Watership Down...with cats.
It's like Erin Hunter's Warriors...but better. A lot better. And Tailchaser's Song came first.

I've been a FeralHearter for a while now, but I never really introduced myself properly to all of you. I'm afraid it's long overdue, but here it goes.

A few things about me:
--I'm shy in real life, but much less so on the internet.
--I'm a college student who works part time.
--I'm American.
--I don't drink or smoke.
--I love reading, especially classic literature and high-quality fantasy.
--My favorite writers are Ray Bradbury, HG Wells, and Oscar Wilde.
--I love anime and manga.
--I adore high-quality animated films, such as the work of Don Bluth and Walt Disney.
--I enjoy watching video-games being played, more than I enjoy playing them myself. But I make an exception to Pokemon. I love playing Pokemon.
--I love animals, and I don't mean just the furry ones. I especially love sharks, vultures, deer, whales, toads, monkeys, and octopi.
--I'm not a huge fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I think it's cute for what it is, but I honestly don't see why everybody on the internet is treating it like it's the second coming of Christ.
--I despise wolfaboos and weeaboos. Hate is a strong word, but it comes pretty close.
--I'm god-awful at math.
--I'm allergic to cats (which is probably why I'm a little biased towards dogs).

...I can't think of anything else to say about myself. Anywho, hello everyone!
