Need some help....

Okay, so i finnished an art request for a user (Not telling there name)
And i was saving it, to uplode to Photobucket, but the thing is, that when you make something with GIMP, you need to save it for .png file or .jpg, but neither was there, just .xjk or something, so i want to ask, how do i make it work for the .png or .jpg file?
If so, please help!
Nor if you have GIMP program, PM me, so i could send the art i made, and you could turn it to .png or .jpg file, i would i appreacete you for helping me. ^.^

Try going File >> Export/Export As instead of clicking Save. Remember to add .png or .jpg at the end of the image name before exporting it

I did add the .png .jpg file, but it haven't saved it.

Did you Export it or only clicked Save As?

Clicking Save/Save as will make the image format .xcf however if you export it then you can change the format.

If you get a message afterwards that asks you to export it as a flattened image (or something), make sure you press the Export button and then Load Defaults if another box appears after that.

Well what I do is take a screenshot of the drawing, paste it onto paint, crop it and then save it. Paint saves it as a .png image, so if you want it as a .jpg, just enter the name of the drawing, then after it type in .jpg. You don't necessary have to do that, but it's what I do. ^^'
