Introduction / HELLO, MY LOVELIES!
« on: February 20, 2022, 01:13:06 am »
HELLO! IT'S WHIM! I'M BACK! And I've missed ALL OF YOU!
Long story short, I had a LOT of work to get done, but now I'm as free as a bird, and my stress levels are the lowest they've been in YEARS!

If anyone's tried to contact me via my old Discord, I've REALLY got to apologize. My 2FA went haywire and I can't access that account, which is HORRIBLE, but hey, I've got a new one! PM me if ya want to send me a friend request!

ASIDE FROM ALL OF THAT! HOW ARE YOU ALL?!

Request/Find Meshes / Looking For Specific Map Items
« on: March 14, 2020, 06:51:14 am »
Hullohullohullo!
I've got a friend looking for some specific things to add to a map they're making- namely, computers, televisions, and disco/dance mats, if any exist out there. Could anyone link me to the most up-to-date version of any of these things?  ;D

Game Suggestions & Ideas / In-Game User Bio AND Character Bio
« on: March 10, 2020, 05:12:23 am »
Hullohullohullo!
So I've been thinking about making a post on here about how darned helpful it would be if bios had an extended character limit- but then came an entirely different idea. (For different reasons. I'll have to make that other post later. XD)

What if everyone had the additional ability to write a user bio for themselves that stuck with them in-game, no matter what character they're on?

Folks could write what kind of roleplays they might be into, their roleplayin' style, they could list the usernames of other accounts they might have, they could give an AFK/Tabbing/Online status, they could advertize their main group(s), or they could do a faaathomless number of other things, all without taking away precious space for writing about a character. Heck, they could even write stuff, like, "if you're new to the game/need help with presets/need help downloading markings, whisper me some questions, and I'd be glad to help!", or whatever other whatnots that'd benefit other members. (I'd sure as heck love to let folks know I'm willin to teach about stuff.)

I just think having both the current Character Bio and an additional User Bio would be a HECK of a nifty in-game function.  ;D

What it says on the tin.
(Note: Chattering that wasn't part of the initial conversation has been blurred out in order to avoid any... unintentional confusion.

(Here's a link to my other in-game screenshots, thus far.)

(note: in that one, I'm not even sure if rune directed what they said at me- my camera wasn't facing them- but either way, the timing cracked me up.)

Screenshots / DragonRamblings' Snapshots
« on: March 10, 2020, 03:29:49 am »
Here's the thread where I'll share my screenshots- from the adorable, to the amusing, to the absurd.
If you find yourself in one of these screenshots, and you'd rather me take said photo(s) down, throw me a message, or comment with a title in quotes below, and I'll do it as quickly as possible, no questions asked. ;D

(Here's a link to my out-of-context chat shots.)

What better to start us off than just some hangin' about?

I'll be sharing any artwork I do of my ferals to this post- and who better to start it off than with my main lad, Whimworth? The dapper old cat himself.

Game Help / Old Map Glitch- Need to Get A Character Out
« on: March 02, 2020, 09:16:50 pm »
Hi!
Obligatory little statement- I apologize if this has already been covered in another topic- couldn't find any through searching, and it'd be wonderful if someone could direct me over to said thread if it exists. ^^
But I just recently installed the latest version of the old maps, and everything seemed to be working perfectly, up until I had my character jump through the portal. The only thing that comes of it is the "Failed to connect to map server. Retry?" pop-up. Clicking OK puts me in a bit of an endless loop of waiting to no avail, with no other activity on the screen to speak of, and Cancel, of course, just brings me right back to the title-screen.

Now, honestly, I wasn't very intelligent in choosing to try and go through the first time using a character that I'm very emotionally attached to- he's my main lad, and the first char I made on this account. Thanks to some screenshots I took at an earlier date of all his color codes and his stature/body factor thingamagigs, I could very well just make an identical character to what he was, and be done with it- but in doing so, I'd lose his bio. And, at that, I know it might seem kinda silly to be getting sentimental over a bunch of pixels, but I also really, really don't want to lose that version of the character /itself,/ if you know what I mean.
So if all possible, I'd like to explore every option possible in trying to get back dear ol' Whimworth.

All of my other ferals work and connect perfectly fine- it's just him that I can't use at the moment.

Is there any possible way to fix this old map glitch, and finally get through to the other side of the portal?
I've tried closing out of the game entirely a few times, and I've logged in and back out a number of times, as well, but that didn't seem to do anything.
Would uninstalling and reinstalling the game reset him back to The Lonely Cave, or would that make me lose him /entirely/ to the glitch? Would reinstalling and replacing the old map files be worth a shot? Or maybe just deleting all these said files?
Or is there maybe a way to get into the files and reset where my character is from there?

If there's any more information I can give, I'd be happy to- and I'm willing to try just about anything at this point if it means I might be able to get him back.

Game Help / Need Help Patching With Linux, If That's Possible :>
« on: February 23, 2020, 09:23:59 pm »
(If there's a thread that I missed (did some searching, couldn't find anything) that already solves this issue, I'd be BEYOND thankful if someone could redirect me on over to it.)

Hi! Got me a new Chromebook recently (long story short, can't quite get a laptop yet) and this is my first time using Linux and not Windows on our desktop for gameplay. (Veteran player, but new account here.)
After a loooong process of figuring out how the heck everything works and typing in a whole buncha silly manual code because Ctrl+V didn't want to be my friend for some reason, I finally downloaded both Wine and PlayOnLinux, and FINALLY got FH installed and working!
But the problem is that it's not truly working. I can't connect to the server because it's insistently prompting that I download the latest patch.
Is it that I did something wrong during download?
Or is playing on Linux not quite possible at the moment?
I could try getting myself a Windows emulator, assuming my Chromebook could handle it, and figure out how to get it working from there, but I'd love to know if there's something I could do to get it running through PlayOnLinux.
If there's any more info I can provide on the problem, or anything along those lines, I'd be happy to provide.
But hhhhheavens, it'd be a dream if I could actually get it running on my Chromebook.

(As a follow up- is running it solely through Wine instead of PlayOnLinux an option, here? I'm still not ENTIRELY sure I know how the silly thing works, but if someone could give me even a bare-bones guide as to how, I'd be very, very grateful. ^^)
