Maps and meshes
« on: November 28, 2012, 07:40:36 pm »
A quick question. If you have a public map with items on it that you have downloaded (eg. extra anaimals, plants etc) Do the people that wish to go on your map have to have the same mesh files installed? Or do all the items show correctly when they view the map even if they don't have those meshes installed?

As long as those files are put in the correct folders and you included the files in the map download, then they should have them.

When you export the map, it exports everything including your object groups, so as long as they have all the files that were exported in the map maker, they should seen everything, meshes included. I don't believe they have to have the same downloaded meshes as you.

Alright, I know they put the map file in the terrains folder, but do the mesh folders go into the my_object folders like normal? I just want to be able to help if someone asks a question, as I'm nearly done with a map.

All exported files should be put in the exports folder, including the exported mesh files.
