If I wanted my map to be foggy, are there particle files I can download for this? Anybody know how?

Maybe if there was a way to make a transparent object without collisions you could use that.

just a thought I don't know if its possible I'll search around because fog would be cool

If there is a particle, yes. c:
If you mean making the sky cloudly, dark, or foggy, it is already possible in map-maker.

I meant the entire area engulfed in fog. If anyone has a particle I can download, to create fog as a weather, that would be great. The idea about the transparent object is neat, though. I might give that a try and throw in a moving texture if I can... It may not work, since objects usually only have an outline, and therefore the fog would only be visible from outside the object, but once you walk through it would disappear.

I do believe in the feral-heart folder there is somthing called "Water mist" in particles. Looks close to fog so you might want to give it a try

^

In Object Maker, in the first tab, there is a button at the bottom to go to EffectMaker, click it. Then go to the particle tab and type in
WaterfallSmoke and load it.

Perhaps you could use that?

There are a few options for fog, however to my knowledge it cannot be made as weather.

Depending on what kind of fog you want, there's the option for using a .particle file and placing it into the map. The only issues that come from this .particle is the amount of lag it causes.
EDIT: Forgot to mention, it may look static in the pictures - but it moves.

^One placement^

^Here, I put three placements of different sizes, to cover more area^

^What it would look like in a map^

This .particle is an edited version I made of another .particle that had been given to me. In other words, it's not mine. http://www.mediafire.com/?187mb4e8n18lkai  (Put the files into Particles.)

There's also the option to use a CloudMat file and place it into your map. The only problem with the CloudMat is that sometimes it disappears, depending on which way you have your camera facing. You also have to place several copies of it, since it functions as a Billboard and not a .particle or .mesh.

Thanks for the help, guys! I think I'll try the particle file first, but the watersmoke effect may work well too.
