Connection problems again
« on: June 21, 2016, 03:03:31 am »
So...I recently had an idea that Feral heart might not be connecting because of my internet provider AT&T
I have contacting them and they said no changes had been made...and then it could be my region? I live in Joshua Texas, my cloudflare comes from Dallas, perhaps a weak connection with cloudflare or feral heart doesn't like AT&T?

Well if it was cloudflare being down, then you wouldn't be able to access the site as well I believe. ( At least that's what I saw on a post that Raz made because some users had issues with the game ). Have you tried other options? Like restarting your router, trying a different wifi ( mobile hotspot ) or even tried connecting, logging into the tab from a cellular, mobile device?

All of the above I tried my mobile hotspot doesn't allow connect to feral heart sever (which I find werid because I'm able access the site) I have restarted my router and my computer, and if Cloudflare is down that's even weirder... My firewall and antivirus allow feral heart and my ports, could it my computer it's self? Or the game

I believe it could be something up with the computer, as it would be interesting to see how you're having this many issues if it was the game itself. Although, the site maintenance can play a very small role with the random disconnections and such, I don't think it'll be enough.
Have you tried clearing your cookie / cache and see if that helps any?

Well, depending on the age of your computer, I would say that it might be the graphics card.
You might not have a lot of memory for the game to run properly and that could be the reason for the lag as well.

Have you tried reinstalling the game and selecting the light version? It might actually lighten the load for your game / computer and you might have a better chance connecting.

I do have the light version installed, my computer I think is only..2 years old...I think , and if it is may graphics card, would uninstalling some games work? I have dragon's den, and several other IT severs, so that could also be the problem(?)

Most definitely for they do eat up the memory.
If you don't see yourself playing the games anytime soon, then uninstalling them would be your best route.

Good Luck ~!

Did you run the tool raz made to check if your IP's differ?
http://www.feral-heart.com/smf/index.php?topic=54268.msg779817#msg779817

If it does, you're pretty much connecting to the site on one IP, while trying to play on the other, and the game will not work that way as it must match.
