If I could

If I could write an endless song-

And convert it out to sea,

My life would be an eternal bond-

To the thought of Fantasy.

If I could make the whole world laugh-

And all the tulips and daisys dance,

Then oh what a world this would be

Please just wait and see.

The world may be a sullen place-

A magic sphere of gloom

But there is nothing like a face-

that'll appear a smile soon.

So I guess for now I'll have to wait-

for the things I want to have

So there is no need to anticipate

The things I can not see.
