"Ashes" -A poem describing the life of a persecuted wolf-

They came for me in the night
A night as black as death
They came with howls and snarls
Teeth glistening bright

They took me from my home
They dragged me through the dust
They killed my only family
But I never surrendered

They tossed me in the flames
They chanted and yelled
They ignored my cries of pain
As I burned down and down

The flames finally took hold of me
I fell, dark and sad
I finally joined my burnt family
Forever ashes
from an evil fire

Thanks, Thyme. I've had this idea stuck in my ol' noggin for days now But every time I had the opportunity to write or type it, I forgot. I have like ten drawings of this wolf's spirit, looking down at his ashes. A couple of them are him looking, with fire and anger in his eyes, at the wolves that killed him. Thinkin' I should write a story based on this...
