Meshes once again not popping up
« on: January 18, 2016, 06:22:20 pm »
Hello.~
So I'm making yet another map, but this time I've decided to create my own 'background' for the map's edges as a view. So I'm using basicplane.mesh as a mesh to retexture into that background. I did it.
The background appears in the map maker, but when I go test it it's blank.
Yes, it's not inside a FeralHeart .object file. I've made my own object group and I've placed it there. But it's basically not working.

Any suggestions?

If I'm not mistaken, the basic plane mesh has the same qualities as the ceiling mesh, which is only visible on one side. 'Ave ye looked at it at all angles, moving it 'round and rotating it?

Or do ye mean the mesh does not 'ave the retexture on it? If that's the case, try exporting it with a different texture and test it in the map y'er making. It could just be an export glitch, or the texture y'er using may be the issue.

Tmw you planned a ten minute nap but instead took a whole year.

Almost the same as what Enoki suggested above; Any mesh that you just 'save' and put into a map in Map Maker will not show up in game unless that mesh has been exported from Object Maker. I learned that one the hard way once and it was rather frustrating.

I would also suggest making sure you're using the right and/or suitable codes for the texture's .mat file. You can find said codes by looking up codes for presets, as most codes that work for presets work for mesh textures too.
