Characters / ShadowFang1355's Entry
« on: March 09, 2019, 08:54:37 pm »

Name
Aspis

Age
7 years (Mature)

Gender
Male

Species
Aspis is a Wolffiend, or Lupus fende. I created the wolffiend species.

Appearance
He is a massive, winged, wolf-like beast with a long pair of horns on each side of his head. He has two prominent scars on his face and neck, the facial scar marking when he'd lost an eye. While in good health, his fur is usually smooth. Like all wolffiends, Aspis's pelt has a grey-scale color-palette and the patterns that are common for the fiends in his home region. He weighs 1,150 pounds. His height is 6'10". His horns are both 2'3" and face forward, but at an upwards angle to stay out of his way.

Personality
Aspis is normally hostile to anything he considers prey, which pretty much includes anyone who isn't another wolffiend. Thankfully, he becomes temporarily passive if he learns he gets more food out of not biting. Other than that, this fiend tends to be quiet and usually drifts away from others. He only acts and reacts out of instinct. Unknown to most, he usually leaves the smaller creatures of the area alone.

Background
Aspis was born with the rank of a loner, his horn length making his role visible. Before leaving the pack as a sub-adult, he was taught and cared for by a secluded group of fiends. While young, he gained his scars from a poor attempt to attack their target. The beast had taken his left eye and given him serious gashes, which would eventually turn into his trademark scars. By the time he left his pack, he had learned enough to take care of himself. Still, he had plenty to learn from the outside of his old territory. Over the years, he learned where to go, what to do and not do, and who or what to avoid. Occasionally, he would team with other loners or fiends who had been outcasted, but he found that it was easier to work alone since it was hard to voice his plans or tactics when you and the others can't speak.

Other Information (Optional)
Mute; wolffiends can't speak or understand others' language. They can learn a few short phrases.
Feral wolffiends are usually smarter, like Aspis.
Loners are nomadic. The other fiend ranks will stay in packs with 1-2 leaders and claim a territory.
Wolffiends have a venomous bite, but it's only lethal once they've matured.
Aspis's preset was made by me. His fur texture is the CoyoteMange texture.

  • If you're using a laptop, try placing yourself closer to the modem, as this might give you a stronger signal.
  • You can also try logging into the "Play Game" tab from a mobile device.

I'll try that whenever I'm online again.

Are you having connectivity issues on other games that you might play or your day-to-day internet use?

No. My other devices (tablet, PS4, etc) and other laptop games work fine.

Hello again, ShadowFang1355! I noticed you posted this a little bit ago and I was wondering if you are still having this issue. If you still are, what antivirus program do you have on your computer? Also, what browser are you using to keep the "Play Game" page up?

Sorry for the pretty late reply. I don't play as much now, but I still have the issue. Some days it's worse than others, sometimes it'll play fine.
I'm using Google Chrome and I only use Malwarebytes as my anti-virus.

Game Help / FH keeps logging me out (again)

Whatever I did last time seemed to have fixed it, but now it's doing it again. It's actually doing it more often now, which is pretty annoying.

I've added exceptions to the firewall. Previously there had been nothing related to FH there.

I've changed my refresh rate on the log in to many different settings, none seem to work.

It does this in every map.

When I'm kicked out, I can get to the character selection screen but I'll always fail to connect to the map.

It only starts working again if I log out and then log back in at the log in page or if I completely close and then reopen the game.

It's been working fine now after I did what I said in the last post. I think it can be marked as fixed now.

I changed the refresh rate to 1 minute, added it to the firewall exceptions, and used "Run as Administrator" on the game. Not sure which one of the three helped, but it seems to be working better now. (No log outs today, yay.)

I think it can be considered fixed if it's still working again tomorrow?

I looked at my firewall and saw the FH wasn't on the list. I added it to it so maybe it wont block it, if that's the problem.

I'll try making it refresh more too.

I'll see if it works any better tomorrow.

While I'm sitting in a map, the game will randomly log me out. I stay logged in the browser but the game itself kicks me out and says I lost connection.

It's not my internet because it's working fine, still connected to both my PC and tablet.
When I try to log back in after being kicked out, it says I can't connect after selecting a character. If I close the game and refresh the browser it sometimes starts working again (for a while).

I have auto-refresh on the log in, and it's set to refresh every 30 minutes. (It's always been set to 30, and never caused me any issued before.)

It started doing this to me 2-3 days ago. Sometimes it stops doing it for the rest of the day, or it will do it again after a while.

It did it to me 2-3 times yesterday and twice today. Don't remember how many times it did that the other time.
