Cannot change the email my account is connected with

I would like to change my username but since I need a working email I can't do that. My old email account doesn't work anymore so I tried to change the email my account is connected with to my email that actually works but for some reason the site won't let me do that? I would like to know why.

There most likely isn't a reason why other than the site derping with all the maintenance. I would give it some time before you try again. Try again in a few hours and if it doesn't work, try doing it tomorrow.

Hmm, so what exactly happens when you try to change the email? Does it act like it sent then not show up in your inbox? If that's the case, double check the Spam/Junk folder in both of your emails addresses to see if you got an email about it that might've gotten hidden.

No, I enter my new email in the box where it asks for my new email and it says 'Cannot update email'
Now my email works perfectly fine- I actually just got an email from someone so it's not like my email doesn't work.

Okay. Have you tried completely logging out of your account, then logging back in? After trying that, see if it works

Yes I have. I guess I'll just leave it for now...

You could try switching browsers and seeing if that does something but I highly doubt that will fix this problem. If I were you I would wait a bit and try again later. If after awhile of trying and you still can't get it, message a staff member. They are better equipped to handle these types of issues. ^^

I can change my username without an email. c:
